Amending the Union Electoral Process

Chancellor Dewa Lanadi proposes to increase the duration of the electoral period from 20 to 50 . She argues that this will increase stability, and improve the ability of core worlds to focus on projects that improve the Union, instead of focussing on the next elections.

After positive reactions from the senate, a votes is opened. The proposal to increase the duration of the electoral period wins with 7 of 8 votes in favour. The actual amendment of the Union Electoral Process will enter into effect starting with the next electoral period.
