The House Dewa has a focus on battle in urban environments. It has a mixed reputation on Mirda due to its checkered past, but has alwas been seen as one of the less destructive armies in terms of collateral damage. Most divisions carry non-lethal armaments to allow suppression and dispersion of enemy forces, but these weapons are easily turned against civilian targets as well. The reasoning of House Dewa being that non-lethal force allows for a less discriminate offensive.

The army is built up mainly as a traditional Veolian army. Rank-and-file soldiers drafted from the general population, and special operations units consists almost purely of hemet veolians. House Dewa has a preference for high-quality equipment and spends considerable amounts of credits on training of the rank-and-file. The Dewa Shaanti Sainikon is the only veolian army that features social infiltration units. These units make up a complete division aimed at infiltration in non-combat situations, and the recruitment or removal of key decision makers and influences.

The name Shaanti Sainikon roughly translates to galactic basic as “Peace soldiers”.
