Free Confederacy Terms of Separation

The Terms of Separation is a specification of the method by which the Free Confederacy members separated from the Union, the terms were presented to the chancellor in [ Mail ] To Chancellor Ardios Eldrilith: Terms of Separation. Its terms were disputed by the Union, specifically ownership of Sector 13 -1 and Sector 13 -2.

Terms of Seperation

Article 1: This document details the secession of the states of Liberal Assencia, The Kingdom of Scir and the Free Peoples of Wrarrbo from the Union.

Article 2: It is the desire of the three states to make the transition as peaceful and easy as possible.

Section I: Separation of states

Article 3: The three states separate themselves from all benefits and obligations of Union membership, including any subsidiary agreements such as the mutual defence pact.

Article 4: The separation shall go into effect at the start of Turn 126.

Article 5: All outstanding debts including taxes for Turn 125 and earlier to the Union shall be paid before the separation. All outstanding credits shall be invoked before this period as well. No debts shall remain on either side after the separation.

Article 6: The three states shall destroy any documents and records containing official secrets of the Union, which may be verified by whatever institution the Union deems fair. It requests but does not demand the same courtesy from the Union regarding the its secrets.

Article 7: The three states shall return control of their embassies on Unity to the Union for their use and withdraw their personnel from Union territory except where agreed upon with the Union.

Section II: Territorial Integrity

Article 8: The three states lay claim to the following territory, including all infrastructure in this area, to be divided amongst themselves by their collective agreement: Sector 10 -2, Sector 10 -3, Sector 11 -1, Sector 11 -2, Sector 12 -1, Sector 12 -2, Sector 13 -1, Sector 13 -2 and Sector 13 -3

Article 9: The three states will take over all cost and benefits of the associated infrastructure and buildings.

Article 10: The Union will vacate these territories effective Turn 126, or under escort at the earliest possible moment thereafter in case this term is infeasible.

Article 11: Non-military Union traffic through Sector 10 -2, Sector 10 -3, Sector 11 -1, Sector 11 -2, Sector 12 -1, Sector 12 -2, Sector 13 -1, Sector 13 -2 and Sector 13 -3 shall be allowed to continue the use of the hyperspace infrastructure in these sectors under the laws set forth by the three states.

Section III: Other provisions

Article 12: The three states shall honour and maintain any bilateral agreements with other Union members.
