Jedi Temple

With the 'Jedi Temple', people generally mean the primary Jedi temple, located in Unity City on the planet Union, where the Jedi Council is housed. The Temple is self-supporting, and features gardens where food is grown, hanger bays where ships and vehicles can be stalled and repaired, Meditation Gardens, research and schooling institutes and even burial grounds for the deceased.

Besides the Jedi themselves, many local people come to visit the Jedi Temple to get in tune with the Force, to ask the Jedi for assistance in various matters and to resolve issues. The Temple offers services to the public, teaching and training and assistance where necessary.

The Jedi have temples on many worlds and those temples are generally modeled after the Jedi Temple on Union, though they are usually smaller in scale with fewer Jedi. These are often used as temporary bases for Jedi on missions.
