Senator Senator Mathi-ey C'b'rton, the minister of justice, has asked the Jedi Council to look into the drawing of a white rabbit on the square in front of the senate building. Jedi padawans Ariana Danacia, Jedi Fecta Trigiel, and Shebi Ajava were assigned to the case.
The three padawan started the investigation by checking the security footage and the paint itself. Security footage from the Senate Building security systems, as well as the private security systems of buildings surrounding the square and Unity Police camera's was analysed by Ajava and Ariana, while Trigial went and analysed the paint itself.
The information that the paint was painted roughly eight hours ago helped the analysis of the immense amounts of video footage. Three suspects were identified disguised as a street artist, a maintenance worker and a cleaner. Each of them was using a datapad to determine where they needed to draw.
The next steps in the investigation were: finding where and whom bought the different outfits, trying to correlate public network data to identify the datapads that were used, and increasing the security on and around the square to prevent follow-up events. While Trigiel discovered that the uniforms were paid for out of an expenses account, Ariana correlated the network data and wrote a program to track the datapads if they went online on the public network.
While Ariana went to the bank, Ajava reviewed the security footage again, as the trio suspected a fourth suspect was coordinating the operation from a high vantage point. There was indeed a vehicle parked next to the traffic, in a location that allowed easy sight to the Senate square. Looking up the registration for the hovercar resulted in an address. Ariana's investigation into the account yielded an address as well, directly next to the car registration address.
The three padawan met up at the Jedi temple, and grabbed their gear before heading out the addresses.
Arriving at the location, Ariana quickly connected to the local private network while Trigiel took up position on the backside of the buildings. Ariana's analysis pointed out that three of the three painters' datapads were in one building, while the coordinator's datapad was in the other building.
At the count of three the padawan burst into the buildings, with Ajava taking on the coordinator alone while Trigiel and Ariana took care of the painters. The conflict was quick and one-sided, with the Jedi easily overpowering any resistance. A short on-site interrogation later, and all four suspects were taken into custody.
Further interrogation only revealed that the one who bought the services of the criminal outfit was a veolian.
