Winged Star

The Winged Star is a YG-4210 Light Freighter and part of the Jedi fleet. Despite its name, the ship model features no wings.

The Winged Star is most often used for cover missions, since it has the appearance of a vessel used by a smuggler or bounty hunter and thus doesn't draw attention in the less desirable parts of space. Due to its age, the Winged Star has been known to have mechanical issues on occasion, requiring in-flight repairs.

Being of older make and model, the Winged Star was retrofitted with a modern astronavigation system and two independent weapon systems - twin-linked blasters aimed towards the bow and short range concussion missiles fired from the stern of the ship. Because the ship has no room for a turret system, the entire vessel must adjust course to aim the blasters, while the missiles are most effective when being chased. As such, the Winged Star is not an effective attack vessel.
