[ Jedi ]
Equipment comes in two types: special items and regular equipment. As a general rule, any generally available object can be regular equipment. Things such as clothes, backpacks, ropes, tents, space suits and other gear and common items are easily available and Jedi can get them from the Jedi Order without any hassle for their own use. The Jedi Order pays the expenses Jedi make, so there is no need for monetary bookkeeping.
Equipment that is especially hazardous such as explosives or heavy weapons are not generally handed out unless the Jedi has training (read: Skills) in an associated skill. Wouldn't want someone to accidentally shoot themselves in the foot or blow off their head. For lightsabers, which are a special case, see Lightsabers.
Regular equipment can provide favourable circumstances in the right conditions but do not generally provide significant boosts to such things as combat (though having a space suit when in space can still be extremely beneficial, for example).
Beyond regular equipment, Jedi have special equipment to aid them in their quests. These items include special crystals for their lightsaber, mystical artefacts and unparalleled technological marvels. Special Equipment is handed out by the Story Teller and you may earn custom made special equipment on quests. Such items generally have a significant impact on a Jedi's ability, such as enhancing their combat powers, improving their abilities or even enhancing or granting access to force powers.
The Jedi Order provides the Jedi with living quarters and transportation as necessary for missions, but at some point Jedi may wish to acquire their own living space and ships. Please contact a Story Teller for details on this - rules may follow on it later if more players have interests in this direction.
Weight, space and simply the desire not looking like a pack-mule limit the amount of goods you can carry with you at any given moment. In fact, if you plan on doing battle, you better pack lightly! When travelling on a mission, you should always list the equipment you bring with you. If you did not list it, you do not have it and you may have to go back or go without.
