Rare Elements (Symbol: ) comprises both of rare atoms such as Uranium, Polonium and Francium and of all sorts of more exotic particles such as anti-matter, dark-matter and exotic particles. It may also include molecules that are very difficult to produce by normal means. Rare Elements are used in all sorts of high-level technology such as Hyperdrive Engines and Energy Shields.

Rare Elements are extracted in a Rare Elements Zone and are used to produce Healthcare Products, Exotic Matter Devices and Research. Rare Elements are also used in the production of Superstructure Components.

Examples of specialisations for Rare Elements are Hyperbaride and Platinum.
