World Requirements

We encourage every player to make up their own world, with their own races and original characters. If you want something that is not in the rules, we will try to find ways to help you make the race, world and characters you like.

We have some guidelines about worlds which should help you make sure the world will fit in with the rest of them. These guidelines are not set in stone, but if you go outside of them, please check with a Storyteller first to see how we can make it work.

You can play the game at different levels of participation. Next to the overall requirements We distinguish five levels of participation:

• Protectorate - If you only want to roleplay
• Minor World - If you want to roleplay and have a vote
• Inner World - If you want to roleplay, have a vote, and run an economy
• Core World - As an inner world, but in the cabinet (you can not start as a Core World)
• Fringe World - An inactive world

The sixth level of participation is only necessary to have a status before the player is ready to play. This level is only used to indicate that the world is being judged for entry into the Union.

• Candidate World

All PC worlds and systems should:

• Be sovereign over their entire territory
  • You can freely have different factions within your system, but there should be one governmental authority (of whatever sort) that can speak for all of them
• Have access to hyperdrive technology
  • There are many 'primitive' cultures in the setting, but having hyperdrive technology is rather crucial to participating in intergalactic trade
• Be civilised enough to have laws regarding ownership and property, relatively fair justice and some basic sentient rights
  • Without these, no world would want to trade with you for fear your people may randomly lock up or kill their merchants or steal their fleets
• Not be Sith or other forms of downright evil
  • To allow for easier interaction between worlds, please do not create evil worlds bent on general mayhem and destruction.

For all levels of participation from Inner World up:

• Have at least 1.000.000.000 people (this is equal to 1.0)
  • Small populations mean your economy will be too small to compete on an inter-galactic scale
