The Hiocan are logical people and are good researchers. T'sal is daughter of a well-known scientist at the scientific academy. After her mothers death see helped her father with his research. During a visit of the Union to the academy she got noticed by one of the Jedi. She is now doing her studies for being a Jedi and a scientist.
She a class 3 science servant Spider droid S4N8. He helps with experiment and other tasks. They had developed their own sign language to communicate under various circumstances.
T'sal has a broad academic background. He father thought her science from a historical perspective. T’sal does research on transatomic physics; this involves the study time delation on particles smaller then atoms and their effects. Time is relative and gravity and speed have effect on time perception and aging in space. At the 1st intergalactic science conference she has given a presentation with the title: “Further defining time delation; the influence of speed and gravity on the time perception and effect on various materials”. This is a major part of her PhD thesis and shortly afterwards she got her PhD degree.
T'sal got an invitation from the grandfather of Shebi Avaja to go on a search trip to the Shebi research facilities. Therefore seee learned more about the Veolian culture and the Veolian language ( láadan en boli dialects). She helped with the Echani Hyperspace Signature Damping and now has a greater understanding of hyperspace technology
T'sal has taken interest in teaching and obtained her degree. She is now mainly teaching instead of researching besides her Jedi studies.

Force Powers
● Power: This Force Power allows the Jedi to further enhance their abilities and jump further and higher.
● Rank 1: The Jedi can redirect their jump in mid-air - changes in momentum take a little time, but a Jedi could for example jump off of a balcony, turn around in mid air and then land on the balcony above it. This power is usable only when there is an atmosphere.
Mind Trick ●●
● Power: The Jedi can use the Force to make another believe a simple lie and even guide their actions, provided the action is not too far out of character. A guard might be mind tricked to let someone pass at a general checkpoint, but they could not be mind tricked to swallow a live grenade, for example. The action must be immediate.
● Rank 1: The Jedi can make a subject forget they ever saw the Jedi. If the Jedi did something important in their presence, they remember someone doing it, but they do not remember it was the Jedi. Using this power requires an opposed check. You can use this power a number of times per day equal to the number of ranks in this force power.
●● Rank 2: The Jedi can automatically recognise if a subject was affected by a Mind Trick when they speak of an event. This does not automatically mark any individual ever affected by one, but if a soldier who was Mind Tricked tells the Jedi they saw nobody around the corner, the Jedi will automatically know they were Mind Tricked to say this.
Telekinesis ●●●
● Power: This Force Power allows Jedi to lift larger objects and throw them with bigger precision.
● Rank 1: The Jedi can move extremely heavy objects, though movement is slow and imprecise. It is not possible to use this to attack another, but it may open heavy doors, lift rubble out of the way or even lift a space ship out of a swamp.
●● Rank 2: The Jedi can lift a group of similar objects all at the same time or a singular very heavy object and even use them to attack. For example, a Jedi could lift a few dozen knives and launch them towards an enemy or throw a heavy boulder. This can be used as an attack or to aid in an attack.
●●● Rank 3: The Jedi can snatch objects, such as a blasters, from an opponents hand by making an opposed check.

- Sun Djem: If a minor injury is scored and one of the defeated defences is the the Blocking Defence (Middle Ring), the opponent is not off balance, but instead his weapon is damaged and rendered unusable for the remainder of the battle. It may be repaired afterwards.
- Water over the falls: When you do not attack and only take Non-Combat actions, you do not lose your style bonus to defence the next round so long as you use this form again next round. You still lose your offensive bonus.

- Tal-shaya: A melee attack to disable the opponent by applying force on a pressure point (like for example in the neck). If used on an unaware opponent who is not force-sensitive, they are automatically knocked unconscious.
- Navorkot: By reading your opponent you evade their attack by jumping and rolling to the side. When using no action besides defending, you gain an additional +1 to Dodging, above and beyond the base +2 for this Special Manoeuvre.
