Assencia is a sovereign state in Sector 10 -2. It is a minarchist republic housed in the Ascia System, meaning its government performs only minimal tasks. It has two main branches, one for preventing fraud, contract breaches and theft and one for general military security.

Laws in Assencia are few and far between, meaning that many activities illegal on other worlds, such as drug trade, prostitutions and gambling are legal here, resulting in a large amount of tourism. Despite of this, actual crime is low - there is simply not enough profit to be earned compared to legitimate businesses.

Assencia maintains warm relationships with the Core Hegemony.

In turn 126, Liberal Assencia split off from the Union together with the Free Peoples of Wrarrbo and the Interregnum Democracy of Scir to form the Free Confederacy. Representative Uriel is its representative there.
