Ministries
The Ministries are departments of the Union government. Each Ministry is controlled by a Core World and no Core World can control more than one Ministry. New Ministries can be created and old ones dissolved by law.
Currently, there are ministries of Commerce, Defence, Finance, Foreign Affairs and Justice. Together with the Union Chancellor, they form the cabinet.
Union Chancellor
The Union Chancellor is the official head of government for the Union and besides ruling in collaboration with the other Core Worlds, also performs many ceremonial functions.
Elections for the position of Chancellor are held every 20 
according to the Union Electoral Process. Though it is done in collaboration with the other Core Worlds, the chancellor makes the agreements by which the different Ministries are assigned and they have some additional authority to cast the deciding vote in tied elections.
Currently, Dewa Lanadi holds the position of chancellor.
Ministry of Commerce
The Ministry of Commerce is responsible for promoting trade amongst member worlds, managing price levels and building new trade routes. Their budget is used to spend on these matters as they see fit.
The current minister is Kachiso Doshima from the Astrian Colonial Authority.
The followings committees are within the purview of the Ministry of Commerce:
- The Bozzy Spine Infrastructure Committee is responsible for advising the minister of commerce on matters about the Bozzy Spine
Ministry of Defence
The Ministry of Defence is responsible for the military readiness and operations of the Union. Their budget is used to build and maintain fleets and armies or to support worlds in building their own defences.
The current minister is Ardios Eldrilith from the Praetorian Empire.
The following committees are within the purview of the Ministry of Defence:
- The Committee on the Distribution of Union Military Intelligence Expenses (shortened: ComDUMIE) is responsible for advicing on the distribution of funds for military intelligence
Ministry of Finance
The Ministry of Finance handles the financial dealings, including collection of taxes and their distribution. They receive a large share of the Union budget, but are expected to use this to fund other Ministries should these request additional funding. They also control the amount of money in circulation, either giving out new money or buying it up from their budget.
The current minister is Dewa Lanadi from the Veolian Commonwealth.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs deals with other nations such as the Slave Rebellion and the Hutt Families. Though this is not officially part of their charter, it is a public secret that they are also responsible for foreign espionage. They often work with the Ministry of Commerce in establishing foreign trade lanes.
The current minister is Atheos from the Astai Republic.
Ministry of Justice
The Ministry of Justice ensures all member worlds and citizens stick to the laws. They adjudicate conflicts between members and their decision on matters is final. Additionally they handle internal affairs and whatever situations such as disaster aid may arise.
The Ministry of Justice is superseded by the Supreme Court of the Union and the Offices of the Mayor of Unity. The process of it's dissolution started in 261, directly after the Turn 260 Union Elections.
The current minister is Senator Mathi-ey C'b'rton from the Divine Fiefdom of Highmons.
Supreme Court of the Union
The Supreme Court of the Union ensures all member worlds and citizens stick to the laws. They adjudicate conflicts between members and their decision on matters is final. Seven judges are appointed for life by the senate, of which five form a panel for cases brought before the supreme court.
The Supreme Court is the partial successor of the Ministry of Justice and was created by the Supreme Court of the Union Act.
Spendings per Ministry
The Union's income comes from taxes paid by its members. Taxes are spent by the ministries, and every minister receives a sum to spend on projects as he or she sees fit.
