The Lifebringer Clans - Faction
The recent upheaval in the transportation market is the cause of some concern in the Clans' department of logistics. After an abundance of meetings and discussions, a response strategy is formulated.
A pair of Lifebringer Clans representatives schedule a meeting with the Daryan trade representatives on Unity. Both are civil functionaries, and have dropped most clan names save that of their department, at least during working hours. One of them has made the unusual choice of not declaring her philosophical affiliation, while the other follows the (essentially utilitarian) Ket philosophy. This leaves their names as Virenii and Ket Virenii, respectively.
Ket Virenii, the younger Kiitik, does the talking. The other, older Kiitik carries a thin briefcase, and remains quiet and passive. The message Ket Virenii delivers is straightforward:
"The recent tragedy in the Tirbu system has caused significant changes in the economy of the Union. The supply of freighters is greatly diminished, a situation that is disadvantageous to many worlds. We have noted that the Daryan Republic is making efforts to increase supply of these freighters. This is an effort we would like to encourage.
Our calculations show you lack a small sum of
to complete your new MTCF zone this week. We would like to offer you this
as a 1-turn, 0% interest loan. In return, all we ask is to be treated with some form of... priority when we purchase MTCF from you. We intend to purchase 100
in the coming month, and we would simply like to ensure a supply in the currently tight market."

Mihaylov is a mudry of average build his hair licked back and wearing a suit.
"This is an interesting proposal from our comrades of The Lifebringer Clans. Darya is certainly interested in advance payment for swifter delivery of
. However there is a problem Darya has committed all its
to our good comrades of the Sudarian Federation. And there are agreements to upgrade this
that we must first commit to."
Mihaylov rubs his chin in thought for a moment.
"Nastya! could you figure something for me out?" he calls to an aid.
A younger female mudry enters the room she looks like a librarian with her glasses and her hair tied back in a bun. "You called for me sir?"
"Yes I did. Nastya Marya Kuznetsov these are some representatives of the Lifebringer Clans they have a trade offer that I would like you to calculate for me and see if we can deliver." the younger woman nods to the representatives and goes off to a computer terminal with the deal to see if it is possible.
"If these time tables take to long then maybe we should get some help from our good comrades of the Pretorian Empire."
((OOC: it will take more than 10 turns to do this deal because of lack of
))

The Kiitik chatter briefly as they study the projections on the Daryan terminal. After a second or two, they switch to a rapid-fire Common, for the benefit of miss Kuznetsov.
"A 1-turn loan is a very small investment, viewed from our side. If we were to charge interest, this would amount to a negligable 5
. Obviously, this small investment can be used to great effect by your peoples. One week of MTCF production is worth quite a bit more than 5
. This... asymmetry in our positions makes it difficult for us to negotiate."
The older one manipulates his datapad, working through various graphs and figures. The global Union supply, interest rates, and Lifebringer Clan trade projections pass by. He briefly converses with the younger Kiitik, and they appear to decide on an alternate plan. The younger Kiitik then adresses the Daryans.
"We have decided that an increase in global MTCF supply is a benefit to us in itself. Even if you cannot sell to us directly, you are no longer required to purchase your capacity elsewhere in the Union.
Let us simply leave it at this. We will do you this small favor, as a favor. If you are ever in a position to return it, this would be appreciated."
((OOC:
1: Isn't Nastya the short/endearing form of Natasha? If you're sticking to Russian conventions, you'd introduce her as Natasha to strangers.
2: Is there a common tongue? It is called Common? Galach? Trade tongue? I'll go ask the admin.))

Mihaylov looked at his assistant for a moment before starting about margins and what would be best for this deal. "Excuse me for a moment." Mihaylov said before switching to Mudry and picking up the conversation pace with Kuznetsov. this conversation lasted about a minute and ended with Mihaylov being stared down by his aide who looked irritated and has her wings half unfolded.
"Right.. Darya can take you up on this offer. You can pay us 226
and we will return it during the next trade cycle((OOC:turn)) and when we are not making
for a deal with someone else meaning were not in the middle of a deal. You will have priority on buying our

"That is acceptable to us. We are pleased to be of service." The Kiitik smile pleasantly, and the older Virenii makes some alterations to a draft agreement he had prepared, and shows it to the Mudry for approval.
((OOC: That concludes it. I'll go make the adjustments to my turn report))
