Astrian Colonial Authority - Faction
((OOC: This topic is private to the Sundarian Federation and the Astrian Colonial Authority))
The escort of the Sundarian Senator waited to get on their way back home. They detected two ships on approach through hyperspace. A moment later, at precisely the agreed on time, two Arch Devil class cruisers dropped out of hyperspace. This was an excessive show of force. A single frigate could practically take on anything pirates, mercenaries or any non-government group could throw at them. The Astrian Senator wouldn't get an escort like this, ever. It did, however, clearly signal the importance of the person being escorted, to those who knew someone was being escorted.
A few moments passed as the two vessels approached the Sundarian ships. Then one of the cruisers started to turn around and jumped back into hyperspace in the direction they came from. Only then was a comm channel opened to the Sundarians.
"Lady-Admiral Harukino Xillio to Sundarian vessels. We are ready to proceed. Lead the way."

The Astrian cruiser joining the Escort detail made quite an impression on some of the Sundarian crew members. Instead of relying on force, the Senator's escort consisted of several smaller, but faster and more agile ships, preferring stealth and speed over a sheer show of force. Even though together they could still pack a punch against most pirates, they were no match for a cruiser.
"This is N'Kolo, Captain of the Princess's personal guard, we are pleased to have you with us. You should be receiving a new set of calculations for the next stage of our flight path, which should take us about half way to our destination. The Princess has also asked me to extended an invitation for dinner to you, admiral, the Lady Nibe, and several of your officers."

The was a long pause. The Sundarian captain might even start to wonder if he would get a reply, then the comm line reappeared.
"You can tell your princess we graciously accept her invitation. We can dock at the halfway point. I take it we will have a few hours before we would continue our journey? If not it might be better to postpone until after we have reached Glasslyn."
There was a tiny hint of annoyance to be heard from the Astrian Admiral, possibly because the Sundarian Senators security people just blatantly broadcasted the identity of their respective passengers. She wasn't too worried, considering the ship she commanded, but this was basically an invitation to anyone who might want to damage the ACA or the Sundarians. She put her frustration aside and continued her duty.
She ordered her XO to prep the ship for jump and didn't give the matter another thought.
((OOC: I don't know if you want to roleplay the dinner or not, either way I believe we can do a timeskip to either the dinner or the arrival on Glasslyn.))

((OOC: Apologies for the delay, I've got a little more time on my hands now, so let's see if we can pick things up once more.
I don't feel playing out the dinner now would not be necessary.))
The journey the Guaire System was a rather uneventful one given their speed and escorts which thwarted any attempts by pirates to either intercept or force them into a disadvantageous position, though the journey was a bit longer then usual because of the war efforts. The Senator and her guests passed the time either on their own ships, or at several smaller gatherings meant to get to know on another a little better, though their weren't many of those.
A few hours before their estimate arrival at Glasslyn, and well with Sundarian space, however the Sundarian Senator send a message on a secure channel and asked to meet with the lady Nibe in private. Not much additional information was given, but one might assume it was to prepare for the arrival and handle several affairs with regards to ceremony and protocol.

As the group dropped out of hyperspace again, it being impossible to transfer passengers otherwise, Lady-Admiral Xillio clearly sounded frustrated as they communicated the docking procedure.
As the airlock finished its cycle and opened, Elizabeth stepped onto the deck of the Sundarian ship. One step behind her were two marines in dress uniform, both had the ODST emblem on their uniform.
"Lady-Senator Obotanga, it is good to see you again." Elizabeth greeted the Sundarian Senator, her deep feminine voice made her sound older then she actually was. A curtsy accompanied the greeting. Her manners were impeccable as always.
"I would also like to extend my sincerest apologies to Lord-Captain N'Kolo for Lady-Admiral Xillios rudeness. I'm afraid she takes my protection a little too seriously."

"The pleasure is mine, Lady Nibe," the Sundarian senator said as she received her guest accompanied by a single guard, "and I'm sure Captain N'Kolo understands the Admiral's troubles all to well. After all his responsibilities and concerns might every well be similar with regards to my safety."
While talking the small party made their way through the smaller interior of the Senator's yacht to end up rather luxurious lounge with several antechambers that held a collection of books and several pieces of tribal art. As she gestured for the Lady Nibe to find a seat, some refreshment were brought in as well, she continued to explain the purpose of the visit.
"Lady Nibe, as you will undoubtedly be aware, we are scheduled to arrive over Glasslyn in a matter of hours. In order to prevent several cultural misunderstandings with regards to protocol, I have asked you here so that we may discuss a few things.
As I understand you are still very young, but still your father has allowed you to make this journey. Could you tell me a little more on what you hope to learn from it?"

Elizabeth took a moment to take a sip from her drink before answering.
"I would like to learn about how the Sundarian Federation was formed. I'm also interested in any religious or other cultural practices you may have. Lastly I would like to learn a bit about Glasslyn itself."
She answered and paused for a moment.
"As you undoubtedly have already concluded my goal here is not just to gather facts. My being here is also a political move from my father, an attempt to create a closer relationship between our people. As such I would also like to learn about Sundarian internal politics."
"As I understand it, the relation between the Astrian Colonial Authority and the Sundarian Federation have always been amicable. However, our peoples have never been particularly close. I believe the foundations for such a relationship are there and I would very much like to lay the first stone with this visit, if that is possible."
The demeanour with which Elizabeth spoke was unlike that of a teenager.
"That being said, would you be so kind as to explain polite Sundarian protocol to me?"
