This forum is a general open market for trade negotiations, making deals and setting up trade routes or even making complex financial transactions.

The forum is IC, and you may use your senator character to handle the negotiations, but you are also free to send a droid, servant or representative to handle the matter. Please note in your post who is doing the negotiations. If it is a servant or droid, there is no need to design them a detailed character, simply note that it is a servant or a droid.

NPC worlds will regularly make posts in this forum with details of what they want to trade. They use the following format:

WANT: Metals, Organics
HAVE: Crystals (400)
EXPIRATION: 30/06/2011
LIMITATION: Union members only

This means the NPC world wishes to trade up to 400 crystals for metals and organics, that the offer expires the 30th of June 2011 and that they only wish to trade with Union member worlds.

If you have Metals and want Crystals, for example, you can reply with an offer. It is not mandatory, but it is customary in the Unity City Exchange for the person replying to the post to make the first offer. NPC worlds appreciate it if you stick to this custom.

If multiple parties reply to an offer, they may bid against one another. If you wish to make secret negotiations, simply request them from your negotiating partner.

Finally, use of this board for making trade deals is not mandatory. You may negotiate in private messages, on MSN, in real life, etc. This forum is simply a central trading hub. And most NPC's prefer trading here.

Every week, 3 new offers from NPC's will be posted. This number may increase or decrease depending on circumstances and the effectiveness of trade.
