"Senator, please come in."
the Chancellor welcomed her to his office in the Senate building.
"You requested an urgent meeting. How may I be of service?"

"Chancellor, thank you for meeting with me."
Maria said as she gave a polite bow to the chancellor.
"I'll get straight to the point because to be honest I have become conserned about the fact that you simply left the meeting about the grafity. Shortly after you left the Head of Senate Security was suddenly summoned and left as well. I am fairly certain that he wouldn't leave a meeting like that unless it was very urgent or important. A request from the chancellor for example." emphasizing the last sentence she tried not to sound like she was accusing him of something.
"I am worried that it is something that could endanger the Union and hope you can put my worries to rest."
she said with a mixture of worry and fear.

"It was indeed a matter of the security of the Union..." the Chancellor explained.
"Not only did vandals break through our security, but after weeks of investigating the matter, our head of security was unable to explain how the vandals broke through. He has no idea what the message that was left means and he remains clueless as to the purpose of the vandals.
The Union pays an unseemly amount of money to secure the Senate Building. The mild apology by the Head of Senate Security, combined with the complete lack of tangible results in the investigation, or even the suggestion that such results will soon be forthcoming left me with no choice but to act."
He paused a moment.
"I have had to terminate his position."
The Chancellor looked at the Senator a moment silently, waiting to see if she wanted to respond to this.

She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you Chancellor." she said "It seems I overannalised the situation. I hope you can forgive me for that."
She showed a small but lovely smile.
"As for the Head of Senate Security, I believe you made a wise choice for terminating his position."
She paused momentarily.
"If I may suggest that we request the Jedi Counsil to take over the investigation? They would probably have more succes than Senate Security. Also they would be more effective at handeling the perpetrator or perpetrators, who seem to be highly skilled, should they resist. Furthermore I strongly believe the rest of this... incident and the investigation should be kept striktly confidential."
With that she had finished and waited to see if the chancellor had anything else on the matter.

"That is an excellent suggestion Senator. I will take it under advisement."
For now that was all the Chancellor had to say on the matter.
