((OOC: This thread is private to the Praetorian Empire, Sundarian Federation and Stellarian Triad Federation and takes place in a conference suite at the Praetorian Embassy on Unity))

After all the senators joined the meeting in the conference room the doors were closed and Ardios Eldrilith opened with a welcoming word.

"Welcome Senators,
It is my pleasure to meet you both here in person. I am confident that we can negotiate a suitable deal for all the involved factions. There are a few things that still need to be put in writing. The most important things are: how many zone rights we trade and when we open our corporation headquarters.

Since there is a lot of tax involved we must synchronize our construction schedules on this matter. I would like to give the word to my financial advisor now. He will explain our view on the matter with our proposal."

"Thank you Ardios.

First of all, we agreed that exchanging zone rights is the best viable option. This makes sure we have a steady flow of (:crystals) crystals that can not be destroyed by problems with trade.

The Praetorian Empire is currently capable of specializing 3 (:crystals) crystals zones. This would mean 1 zone of each corporation. Although we are currently capable of using zone rights for 1 zone of each corporation we would like to propose to exchange zone rights for the specialization of 2 zones. This gives all of us the possibility to expand in the near future.

Secondly we will need to determine the (:turn) of completion of our (:crystals) Crystals Corporation Headquarters. Since this will be our first corporation the Praetorian Empire is capable of completing it around (:turn) 70. Although this is possible we rather like to take some more time to prepare some zones to process the large amounts of crystals we will be creating. We propose to either complete our corporate headquarters in (:turn) 75 or even in (:turn) 80. The latter will give us the possibility to move some product production away from our home planet making extra room for more crystal zones.

How do your factions think about these matters? Are there any other things that need to be discussed?"

Maria listened to Ardios and Dareal with a thoughtfull expresion.

"So, let me get this straight. You want each faction to build a headquarters in our home system, plus one zone for each of the other two factions?" She just wanted to be perfectly clear on this matter as she was somewhat new to interstellar corporations. "Furthermore everyone gives the other two the right to one extra corporate zone, correct?"

She made some quick calculations in her head.

"I believe that would cost a total of 6000 (:tax) per faction for the headquarters. Based on that the STF would prefer (:turn) 80 for completing the corporate headquarters or it could put to much strain on our economie."

She waited for the others to respond.

"You are correct on the amount of zones that each incorporates and exchanges.

As far as I know this is the first corporation for the STF. The first corporation costs only 5000 (:tax) ."

"I see. It seems I miscalculated. (:turn) 80 still has our preference.

We have 4 (:crystals) crystals zones that can be specialized. So starting with three is no problem for us."

"The proposed exchange of Zone rights is no problem for us," The Lady de Montrève responded after Dareal Noxim had laid out his plans, "And we can also make the necessary arrangement to complete an HQ by (:turn) 80. So at first there seem to be no problems to proceed with this deal.

However there is an issue that will need to be resolved, as pointed out by my economical advisers, which results for the temporary loss of crystal production during the incorporation of Zones. By our current calculation no problems should arise, but we might require a small supply of Crystals should an unexpected shortage occur. "

"Our statistics department has already calculated for this scenario and they came to the conclusion that we should trade the specialized goods that we create in the first two turns using trade fleets.

This means that, if we finish the construction of our HQ in (:turn) 80 and all specialize a zone in (:turn) 81 and (:turn) 82, we will need to trade the specialized goods in (:turn) 81 and (:turn) 82 to make sure that we still have the necessary amount of (:crystals) available to handle normal production.

Our calculations show that we will probably need to ship 140 specialized (:crystals) to each corporation partner in (:turn) 81.
Followed by 300 specialized (:crystals) to each corporation partner in (:turn) 82.

The Praetorian Empire is capable of shipping these amounts of goods to the Sundarian Federation and the Stellarian Triad Federation.
We have no problem including this in our deal to make sure everything runs smoothly. Are your factions capable of handling these trades then?"

"Our current trade capacity is more then sufficient to ship such amounts," The Lady de Montrève replied, "We would however prefer the shipment in (:turn) 81 and 82 to be included in the agreement so that no problems arise and a sufficient supply of crystal is ensured."

"I'm afraid the STF will have difficulty suplying these amounts to two factions at once. While we are currently in the process of increasing the trade capacity of our trade fleets, unfortunatly even then it will probably be to much for us to handle without help."

She looked worried.

"The (:turn) 81 shipment isn't to much trouble if the Sundarian Federation could lend us a hand by serving as an intermediary. ((OOC: basicly the STF ships 280 specialized (:crystals) instead of 140 to the Sundarians and they send half to the Preatorians.)) But the (:turn) 82 shipment is simply not possible for us without interfearing with our existing trade deals."

((OOC: Your current trades use a 2.1 ratio to me. With your hyperspace lane and mine this is actually 1.6 already. (0.5 for each homesector and 0.1 for each bozzy spine sector we pass through.
The current deal of 240 goods requires 384 capacity.
For the shipping of 300 goods to my system you require 480 capacity.
For the shipping of 300 goods to the sundarians you require 540 capacity.

With the 1600 capacity that you should have in total by then it is possible :)))

((OOC: You should indeed have time enough to increase your available trade capacity to levels required, but if it does provide a problem for you I would have no problem to act as an intermediary in order to ensure shipment to all parties))

"While we understand the required amount of available trade capacity might seem a bit overwhelming," Senator Peinaili stated, "We are confident that the Stellarion Traid Federation can manage this amount, and the Sundarian Federation is willing to offer support of her own Shipment capacity, should problems arise. We could also offer some assistance if a trade agreement with our friends from the Republic of Darya becomes a limiting factor, since we have more the adequate capacity in their direction as well."

"That would be most helpfull, senator. Thank you."

Senator Latharion suddenly had a revelation. She scolded herself mentaly for not reallizing this earlier.

"I will make a few ajustments in our trade fleet expanding plans. With that the Stellarian Triad Federation should have no problems with shipping all the specialized (:crystals) and maintain our trade deals." she stated happily.

"On behalf of the Sundarian Federation I am willing to sign this contract and we shall abide to the obligations therein."

The Lady the Montrève stated after a short study of the proposed contract. She then added to clarify:

"Of course under the condition that your respective faction are also willing to sign this contract. "

"With the authority granted to me by the Stellarian Triad Federation, I am willing to sign this contract. Thereby commiting the STF to its terms."

Maria said in an official tone, having read the document. As Lady Peinaili de Montreve had already stated her willingness to sign, she looked at Senator Ardios Eldrilith.

"Provided the other factions agree on this."

The following missive was sent to the embassies of all parties involved:

" Senators,

In accordance with our treaty concerning the corporation of (:crystals) , and the obligations herein, we have drafted a schedule for shipment and construction order of specialized zones. In this manner we have tried to conserve both overproduction and trade-capacity to limit the strain on our economy following from this rapid expansion.

As per treaty, all faction are obligated to complete their respective HQ's in (including) turn 80. In order minimize the economic drain and overproduction of specialized products the following trades are placed in (:turn) 81.

The Sundarian Federation will ship: 140 spec. (:crystals) each to Praeto and STF
The Praetorian Empire will ship: 140 spec. (:crystals) each to Su and STF
The Stellarian Triad Federation will ship: 140 spec. (:crystals) each to Praeto and Su

In turn 81 , we propose the following specialisation to be completed (in (:turn) 81, requiring 1000 (:tax) ) :

The Sundarian Federation will complete the Stellarian zone specialization
The Praetorian Empire will complete the Sundarian zone specialization
The Stellarian Triad Federation will complete the Praetorian zone specialization

If this is done, this result in the following optimized trades for turn 82:

The Sundarian Federation will ship: 310 Stellarian spec. (:crystals) to Praeto & 120 Sundarian spec. (:crystals) to the STF
The Praetorian Empire will ship: 180 Sundarian spec. (:crystals) to the STF & 180 Praetorian spec. (:crystals) to Guaire
The Stellarian Triad Federation will ship: 120 Praetorian spec. (:crystals) to Guaire

The zones construction in 82 are the final missing specializations, resulting in no further need for trades in (:turn) 83.

If there are any questions or comment in light of this planning, please do let me know.

With Regards,

Thomas J.G. Pendra

"We have checked the calculations and think it is a good solution. The actual contract stated 300 to each faction in (:turn) 82, but this was stated to make sure that all factions had enough available trade capacity. We think we can all agree that shipping less specialized goods like this is more profitable. We will follow this schedule. "
