Late Game Goals

This thread is inspired by Late Game Construction, and a chat Mercury, Dragonmaster352, Fedor and I had a while ago.
To know where and how we should add options to the game, we need to know where people want their faction to go. Let's look five years into the future. What kind of things do you wish to see your faction accomplish, if you were not limited by FWURGs current options (or economic concerns, for that matter).
We invite everyone to go crazy in this thread, and tell us what awesomeness you want your faction to achieve!

Well, first I want to make The Cradle to be mister awesome. Then, when I have a Cradle to the max, why should it be only 1 Cradle. I like to build more of them! Like a giant artifficial moon generator that produces artificial moons on the assembly line. (Is this a valid saying in English :S ?)
My faction want so be the militaristic superpower, not conquer the world, but to prevent being conquered by others. So the whole Union might be conquered, except one little faction, which are bravely keeping resistance with their magic potions... I mean overpowered fleets, combat moons defence forces and armies >:)
And once we've done that, who knows, maybe my faction is than still angry at the Mandalorians, and are going to invade them with a fleet of moving moons which can only be damaged with the siege upgrade Mwhahaahaha!!!

I want a high tech society. With enormous research centers. I would like some outposts (more towards Mandalorians) as I already got human and I want to extend in that direction. Maybe some contact with the Echani on tech level would be cool.

I want to have a massive empire spreading several sectors, maybe even have a few (unofficial) minion worlds outside the Union.
Have a few impractically large ships that can carry population.
Have an intelligence network that actually provides useful information on the other superpowers and non-superpower worlds outside the Union. Maybe even personal optical cloaks for elite troops and a few stealth ships like the Echani.
And Astrian cybernetics for everyone that needs/wants them throughout the Union.

For my late game, I envision the IO protocol being the primary source of information throughout the Union, delivering at very low prices and generally working to optimize the Unions Pareto efficiency. I also want to expand the IO Protocols influence towards setting up and managing a large scale Holonet infrastructure throughout the Union Territories to rival the Bozzy Spine.
I see the IO as primarily a supporting group however, running the Holonet and information production in service of the Union and its members. The IO have no imperialistic ambitions and want to share their benefits with everyone.

I think my end-game goals can best be summarized by the following quote:
When asked 'What do you want?', Arch Duke Charlemagne Bolivar of the Sabra-Jaguar Pride wrote:The usual — hundreds of grandchildren, complete dominion over the known worlds, and the pleasure of hearing that all my enemies have died in highly improbable accidents that cannot be connected to me.
