I have a small point of discussion. I am rather sure that we do not want excessive use of color, but I think small applications like the following might merit the use of some color.

Some time ago I used a color to indicate that the message was delivered by holoprojection:

"Respected representatives of the Sundarian Federation, the Socialist Republic of Niom and the Lifebringer Clans..."

I have just posted in the jedi thread, where it occurred to me that OOC notes in the IC should be less pronounced. In my opinion they break the visual flow of the text, especially if put in italics, which seems to be the current practice. So I put my OOC remark as follows:

((OOC: Some Out-Of-Character text goes here.))

I have two points of discussion related to this:
  1. Is the OOC color readable for you? (i.e. is it to dark, and if so is this better?)
  2. Would it be useful to have a [ooc] and [/ooc] tag on the forum so we don't have to fiddle with the [color] and [i] tags anymore? (And we could prefix '((OOC:' and suffix '))' for free probably.)

1 Yes is a good readable color( no worse).
2 OOC tags would be useful, italics does make the topics hard to read, the color is good enough.

I can read it easily. Tags would make it easy to use

I can actually add BB codes for this so it'd be [OOC] [/OOC] and [Holo] [/Holo]

I like it. But please keep the tags lowercase, it saves typing.

Also, the prefix and suffix can be done through the normal configuration?

This text is not ooc

((OOC: This text is))

This isn't.

The above text has this entry:

Code: Select all
This text is not ooc

[ooc]This text is[/ooc]

This isn't.

Also, there is a button for it now - for free!
