The Union taxation and new friction system as described in Proposal: Refactored Tax Brackets and Internal Friction have been readied.
The following changes will be made:
154.
Please post any retroactive change you want due to this rules change in this thread.
The following changes will be made:
- All Union Taxation brackets are 1000
wide - Friction will be introduced as described on the wiki
- The tax tool will be updated as soon as all reports for
153 are accepted
154.Please post any retroactive change you want due to this rules change in this thread.
I have updated the tax tool. Remember to refresh your cache before making your next turn report (or inspecting your riches).
Notice to players and turn auditors: Due to the new friction rules, it has become relevant how and when a subsidiy is received. For example, the technology subsidies are implemented as a tax deduction. As such, they lower the amount of taxes you pay, and increase the amount of spendable tax you have.
Right now, this would force everyone receiving such subsidies to calculate their friction by hand. I will have a look at the tax tool today and see if I can implement a nice subsidy block -- though I might not be in time for others to file their turn reports. In behalf of all players that receive subsidies I ask for leniency for this turn, so that we do not have to update our tax reports by hand...
EDIT: I have fixed the tool, and will update the site as soon as
154 has been processed.
