Hey everyone,

I'm going to stop playing FWURG. It's simply taking up too much time for me, and it's not a game I can play at half speed. I've tried. :P Massive kudos to admin for this. FWURG is a great game that's definitely captured my interest.

Also, thanks to all the players, it's been fun playing with you people.

You can remove my faction, leave it as a fringe world so other people (Iladriel and gerben) still get their goods, or turn it into an NPC faction. I don't mind either way.

I don't mind posting for another week or so if people (Iladriel) need that to transition.

Sorry to hear it; that's a pitty.

What took up the largest chunk of time? If we know this, we might be able to make it consume less time (for the other players at least, but maybe even quick enough for you?)

It's perfectly possible to play this game in little time (Patrick has been managing fine, I think?) I just don't think it's possible for me. I don't have the discipline to play this game on a time budget, when I can optimize my turn just a little bit more with a 'little bit' of extra calculation.

This is actually quite a difficult decision. I'm very curious to see the genetics options, for instance. And the roleplaying has been interesting so far, and lots of interesting options keep opening up.

We're sad to see you go. I hope you have enjoyed playing the game regardless of the amount of time it started to absorb - games sometimes do ^_^

The concept of the Fringe Worlds was created with this kind of thing in mind - the fact of the matter is sometimes players leave. Magically making their system disappear would be strange yet empty seats make political decisions difficult. Fringe Worlds are a good solution, and they allow the option of the player returning at a later date.

Regardless, thanks for playing, and should you wish to return at a later time, either as the Lifebringer Clans, or with a whole new system, or even as a Jedi character only, you're more than welcome to!

I recognize your situation: I had the same problem with the game absorbnig a lot of time due to 'a little extra calculations'.

Since I wanted to play the game mostly for the roleplay (with a dish of economics on the side) I decided to just do some quick calculations only, and ignore any nagging thouhgts about more optimizations; so far it has worked out rather well.
