Expiration on open rewards and rules changes

I would like to propose a limitation on the claiming of open rewards and rules changes.
There have been several instances where I have picked up the duty of writing a story page because no one else felt the need to.
My experiment with deliberately not doing so has been running for 1 month and 2 weeks without anyone doing anything: [ Holonet ] Useless Facts. Ask Mercury about my not writing the report just to see how long it would take if you don't believe me; I told him the moment the event was over :P
It seems that, the moment there are more people that could do the job, no-one actually does the job...
Proposal: Because of this, I would like to propose that a reasonable amount of time is reserved in which the story page can be handed in. After this period the reward expires. I think 3 months is a reasonable amount of time. The same goes for Jedi missions, or the handing in of other RP in exchange for

I would like to propose the same expiration on 'Rules Change' opportunities to change your system, race, whatever. For example Rules change: Jedi Creation, Foreign Jedi and Jedi Ranks was 9 months ago. I think it's clear that the opportunity has passed by now.

Writing a report get's easily forgotten as "I'll do that later when I have more time".
So setting a expiring date will help this.
I think 3 months is reasonable although sometimes a reaction also takes months on an existing thread.
A warning 1 week before expiring would be nice.

I agree with this. 3 months sounds like a reasonable amount of time.

Also I was thinking of making the story page for [ Holonet ] Useless Facts., but forgot sorry. Will do it now.

Ok, since there are no objections, I will give everyone a last week to reply. The proposal here is to add the following meta-rules:
If there's not objection, I'll add this to the wiki in the weekend of the 27th.
- There is an expiration term on rewards and change notifications of 3 months. After this period the issue or reward period is considered closed.
