Previously, the policy was to contact the admin account for communication with NPC worlds.

This has had some unfortunate side effects: many interactions, even involving multiple participants, are done exclusively by private message.

Because of the forum limitations, such interactions are more difficult to follow and read back upon for me and I find them harder to search through when I want to double-check statements I made and names I used.

Additionally, this hides roleplay from view and makes it impossible for players with genuinely beneficial suggestions to add to the discussion.

Finally, they give the already political game an air of secrecy and 'under the table' dealings, which can be fun, but which is intended more for player versus player games than player versus environment games such as the one we have.

For this reason, I am changing this policy.

When you wish to contact an NPC (or perhaps even a PC - your choice), rather than pming the admin account (or said player), please use the new Holonet location icon to have your meeting in cyberspace. I also added a holo font button next to the ooc button.

Naturally if you do have dealings that must absolutely be kept private, you can still use pm, but I prefer / give precedence to forum interaction.
