Sigh. And you play such a relevant role in the current political events... I had hoped to discuss those at the write-a-thon as well ^_^

That might be useful.
The results of our discussions (for which notes can also be found on the wiki page):
Specialisation needs to be better:
Guidlines that give some idea about the power of Jedi with respect to the possible skill scores.
We want to start an ideas thread for people to browse through, so that they can get some inspiration from others.
We want to design and implement a system that allows people to gain minor worlds outside the Union as minion worlds (vassals, allies, provinces, etc.).
The issue of co-ownership needs to be thought on. Corporation ownership presents a special case of this issue, given the additional costs for follow-up corporations.
Debates will be introduced. A debate will be one or two positions postulated by the chancellor. The debate will remain open for three weeks, after which the chancellor will evaluate the debate and declare are winner. Everyone that participates in the debate will gain
with the main contributor gaining bonus
. Votes that follow from a debate will allow for cheaper buying of votes.
Vote auctions will be used to streamline the buying of votes with
in normal votes. This allows easier buying of votes without engaging in lengthy discussions. It will also offload a lot of work from the NPC players to allow them to ignore votes where the NPC doesn't have an opinion. The base cost for a vote will be a minimum of 2
. Buying votes that are in line with the debate will given the buyer +2 phantom
to allow for cheaper buying of votes.
Jedi
Specialisation needs to be better:
- Skills and attributes should be cheaper in
, leading to a better Force Level/Skill ratios - More 'trained only' skills
- Balancing: Starting skills and attributes, force powers that mostly give bonus through their +dots
Guidlines that give some idea about the power of Jedi with respect to the possible skill scores.
Late Game
We want to start an ideas thread for people to browse through, so that they can get some inspiration from others.
We want to design and implement a system that allows people to gain minor worlds outside the Union as minion worlds (vassals, allies, provinces, etc.).
- The idea is to have planets enter into play in a staggered fashion, with 1 every 5 turns.
- Gaining a minor world costs about 10000 to 15000 (which can be fluffed in different ways), or upkeep etc.
- Out-of-Union worlds that give small benefits such as +1
per time unit, a +100 raw material of choice boost per turn, or a delivery of goods.
Economics
The issue of co-ownership needs to be thought on. Corporation ownership presents a special case of this issue, given the additional costs for follow-up corporations.
