Major Consults update

In an effort to make the inner workings of my faction more logical and clear and to communicate this, I have given the Consult system of my faction an overhaul. To cover every important aspect of a nation, the responsibilities of each Consult has become more extensive.
To make the Consult system easier to understand for people who likes to roleplay with my faction and in an effort to improve role-play all together (for myself as well) I have created a new wiki page for every one of the five High Consults.
Political Consult
Economical Consult
Technological Consult
Military Consult
Philosophical Consult
There are no real changes to my faction, I only made sure everything in my faction is covered ^^
The pages might be subjected to change later as they are a little empty at this moment, but the big lines will probably stay the same :)

Cool!
I always like to have more insight into other factions ^_^
The names are slightly generic, making it a little tricky to recognize them as part of the Teprogrenaian Consensus, especially for people not yet acquinted with the structure of the Teprogrenaian Consensus. The same holds true for my faction pages of the great Houses, but they have less generic names. My houses do match the same scheme as for other noble houses if someone else would start a faction with such pronounced houses (House Savony, House Lafrioye, etc., come to mind) but because they are proper names this is less of a problem. There'd simply be more noble Houses.
Unfortunately 'Teprogrenaian Political Consult' is a mouthful. The only thing I can think of would be to use teprogrenaian themed names:
In my opinion, giving them more unique names gives them much more atmosphere and character (and has the added benefit of not being generic).

- 'Consult Politicus' or 'Consult Civilis',
- 'Consult Diligens',
- 'Consult Technicae',
- 'Consult Militum',
- 'Consult Philosophiam'

I was thinking about giving them new and unique names, since I made the current names around 2 or 3 years ago when I started giving my culture more body. But since I have been using the current names for all that time, I refrained myself from changing the names to maintain consistency. With past topics.
Consistency is a good point. Then again, you can always give the old name on the page as well... It isn't actually that strange for the Teprogrenaians to start using different names in galactic basic. The consults could have had these names all along, but now they switched from the translated version to the actual version. It happens IRL as well, first a translated name is used to make it understandable, and then the actual name is used since people know what you're talking about ^_^
So, all my characters are now also provided with the proper Consult insignia :D
I just noticed that some of my characters have the little faction symbol in the bottom right of their image, while the others have not. I cannot find how this is done... Brend how does it work again with the little faction logos in the character images?
Those images are automatically generated based on the data on the wiki. For example, for Nehket Aeka, you will see two links below her character block called "character" and "representative":
Then, you tell the forum to use that URL as the avatar location as follows:
Now, the forum will show the image at the location you gave, and if you update the wiki with a new image for your character, or update the blazonry of your faction, the forum will automativally use that new image.
- character links to: http://www.fwurg.net/images/special/character/ic:nehket_aeka/183x183.png
- representative links to: http://www.fwurg.net/images/special/representative/ic:nehket_aeka/183x183.png
Then, you tell the forum to use that URL as the avatar location as follows:
- Switch to the account you want to updated,
- Got to User Control Panel "Edit Avatar" section under "Profile",
- Paste the URL of the image you want to use in the "Link off-site:" field,
- Double check that you are pasting the link in the field after "Link off-site:",
- Hit the "Submit" button.
Now, the forum will show the image at the location you gave, and if you update the wiki with a new image for your character, or update the blazonry of your faction, the forum will automativally use that new image.
Ah yes, that was it, now I remember ^^ thank you
