In regards to a Builder issue, I would like to toss up for discussion which builder-generated content should require validation:

We have:

  • Senators
  • Faction Leaders
  • Jedi
  • Other characters
  • Factions
  • Races

I believe at the very least, Jedi should require official verification since making a Jedi is pretty complicated, but what about the others?

Only Jedi should be good enough, the other don't realy require validation unless working with a new designed rule/characteristic which, by my knowledge, isn't possible while working with the builders anyway.

I think that we should validate Factions as well.

Since we usually skip the whole candidate member phase, which was meant to allow members of the union to voice objections or questions about the proposed membership, the faction should be checked against the membership requirements somewhere. (I.e. requirements include: sovereignity, sector on map)

I sorely miss the fact that I can't pose IC questions before the world actually gains the option to vote -- it seems a bit weird, but I understand why you would want that to allow quick play for new players. So, let's move the basic validation to OOC turf then.

I'm inclined to agree with this. So I'm adding an unvalidated block for Jedi and for factions in the builder.

EDIT: this is now done.
