((OOC: I assume the necessary arrangements are already made and that Senator Danar Tassar was able to speak Duke Iaat Vyapar or someone else on behalf of house Iaat.))
A holo image appears of the Teprogrenaian senator before the person answering the holo-call, assuming a regular projection device was used.
"Thank you to make some time to talk. As my aide who made the arrangement undoubtedly has mentioned, we, of the Consensus, would like to talk about the news post about your house, released on turn 86, Saturday January the 26th, concerning the food deal between our factions. That news post confused us, as it appeared you are quite dissatisfied about the transaction between the Consensus and the Commonwealth, and before things escalate, we of the Consensus would like to talk about it to see what is the issue. And to explore possible ways to settle it."

As arrangements had already been made, the Teprogrenaian senator did not have to wait long and was immediately put through the Duke Iaat Vyapar.
"Senator Tassar, it is an honour. I am indeed dissatisfied with the transaction between the Teprogrenaian Consensus and House Nehket.
There is little to be confused about: in the senate your world makes noise about others moving on your market, but when you can profit form it, you seem to have little compunction about doing so yourself.
You could help me understand your actions if you explain why you favour House Nehket in such transactions. What are they offering you in return for you favouring them as trade partners?"
The Duke seemed a little agitated when the Tepgrogrenaian senator spoke of confusion.
"Because of your trade House Iaat is forced to sell
to House Nehket at Open Market prices. And this Food is then sold to the Teprogrenaian Consensus at much higher prices; and all profit flows to the coffers of House Nehket!
Unfortunately, there is little to be settled. The deal has been made; House Nehket would never renege on it."
((OOC: A 'post' is not really an IC thing in my opinion. I would call it a news item.))

"I begin to see what the problem is here. The Consensus never intended to favour house Nehket, or any house in particular for that matter. We saw that the Veolian Commonwealth was dumping
on the open market and offered to use the
in our tax sets to create more taxes than the open market would pay. To keep things simple, it was a relative small optimise trade after all, we contacted our main contact point to the Veolian Commonwealth, the embassy. Assuming that the secretary would do its job and made sure the offer would brought to the right people.
Apparently somebody there dropped the ball. I think your main problem lies within the Veolian embassy as they appear to fail with co-operating in the faction they claim to represent."

"So what you are saying is that you support House Nehket in their actions? After all, it is a well-known fact, even among other worlds that Senator Nehket Aeka is of House Nehket. And knowing this, you still contacted her people to set up a trade!
You say that the Veolian Commonwealth was dumping
, but this is nonsense. In reality it is House Iaat and the Dryatech corporation that have been selling
to the open market. This is a very easy fact to discover, and the fact that your world is unwilling, or even incapable, of discovering this surprises me.
And now you try to make excuses by blaming the veolian embassy and acting as if you are not aware of the fact that Senator Nehket Aeka is, in fact, only the political representative of the Veolian Commonwealth. You claim that the Veolian embassy 'fails to cooperate in the faction they claim to represent', which belies a complete and utter lack of political insight in your part.
I am afraid that my only course of action is to withdraw the support of House Iaat from this unfair agreement you have struck with House Nehket. My advisers tell me that this would cost your world around 152
. Maybe that would make you understand the position of my House?"

"As far I know, selling goods on the open market is equal to dumping, but what do I know about the open market? I am but a politician after all. Still, if you say that you must sell the goods for open market price to house Nehket, than your house is not worse off then before.
However, I do see your point and agreed that your house deserves shares of the profit. I am not sure what the exact deal was, but I will inform the economical consult of their error.
I also do know that in the near future the Consensus will need
, we of the political consult will inform the economical consult of possible profitable deals with house Iaat.
On a side note: Isn't it possible for your house, or any house for that matter, to open an economical centre on Unity City? Our prognosis is that such a Veolian economy centre will make the threshold for factions to deal with the correct house a lot lower, preventing such trades which are only profitable for house Nehket."

"You have a strange notion of the open market, senator. And, like a true politician you dance around the topic you do not wish to address.
I do however appreciate the irony of your situation, as I am reasonably sure that we will have 242
available in the near future. Unless, of course, we can find a way to compensate house Iaat for the mistake your world made. We could use a small investment of 500
, the amount necessary to refurbish a zone, and thereby help you gain the necessary
.
As to your side note: I shall take your suggestion under advicement. But in the meantime, isn't it possible for your world to contact Mirda directly through the Holonet. If this is not possible, do inform me, as this would be a serious issue for House Iaat -- it might be that other houses are actively blocking transmissions, something we can not allow!"

"500
? I am fairly sure the Consensus does not have that amount of money ready on short notice, I'm sure you understand that. We can arrange a payment over multiple
, starting with this turn. I am sure the Consensus can safe some taxes for that. With your permission, I will let Danar Torig join this call so we can set up the deal."
"You must understand, the Veolian embassy is practically around the corner here, and we speak with them on a daily basis. Hous Iaat is a name from many, many light years away. If we need the Veolian Commonwealth for something than the embassy is the obvious choice, they are our daily gate to your factions. Actually, I believe the Veolian Commonwealth is the only one where we have to circumnavigate the embassy for a trade, instead of using the embassy for a good trade."

"Very well. I will have one of my economics people handle the exact details. The fact that your world is willing to help House Iaat after you were misled by House Nehket shows your good will.
Forgive me for not understanding, as the holonet takes away most difficulties in trading with distant parties. It seems to me that, with the exception of a few, most embassies are not actually economically representing their worlds, but only their world's largest economic players. It seems to me that most worlds conveniently forget to represent the smaller businesses and corporations, and apparently, those smaller groups accept this.
However, what you said earlier about opening a point of contact on Unity sounds interesting. I will have this option analysed. Should we decide to open a point of contact, I will make sure that your world is informed of this.
Thank you, senator, for acknowledging your mistake and looking for a constructive solution. I look forward to our next meeting with regard to the extra
you wish to buy."
Duke Iaat Vyapar waited a moment to allow senator Tassar to say his goodbyes and hand over the connection to Danar Torig. He then handed over his holoconnection to another veolian, a woman, to negotiate the details of the payment of the 500

"Avé," Torig greeted, "I have been informed about the situation and think that we can setup a better deal for the both of us. We of the Consensus like a more permanent trade between our parties, ensuring higher income for the both of us in the long term. Therefore we have the following proposal: We, of the Consensus quit our deal with House Nehket, and start a long term trade deal with House Iaat. The Consensus receives 121
per
and pays House Iaat 45
per
in the beginning. The taxes can be changed for goods like
,
,
or
. Preferably
or
. The
can be used immediately instead of
. Hmmm... yes, we prefer that certainly, we can pay in 95
and 10
the next 10
.
Besides this trade deal, the Consensus will pay House Iaat 500
over 10
as exemplary, House Iaat uses these
to improve their
production. The Consensus will improve their
production and the Commonwealth and the Consensus will trade these goods one-o-one.
How does that sounds?"

"Greetings", the veolian woman stated, before being overwhelmed by Torig's enthusiasm. "Ehm. One moment." said before disappearing from the connection for a moment.
When she returned, she had a datapad with her, and stated: "If you cancel your agreement with house Nehket we are willing to accept the current payment of 47
per turn for 121
, the same price you offer House Nehket, for a duration of 10
. We will also accept the 50
per
of compensation payment for your world's earlier mistake, but we will not have you dictate how we spend these taxes.
Of course, House Iaat is more than happy to open negotiations with regards to the other possibilities you mention at a later time."

"Very well, we keep this trade agreement as a trade of 121
for a period of 10
.
The payment of 47
is a result of equally sharing the profit amongst the parties dealing with the Consensus. We can also do that, this can result in higher profit, or lower ones, depending on the trades of the turn, varying around 30 to 50
per
payment. "

"So if I understand correctly, you are willing to offer the set price of 45
