Senator Nehket Aeka's personal aide, a young noblewoman from one of the lesser noble houses, blushed a little while she helped the senator don the spaulders of her ceremonial armour. After her aide quickly brushed the senator's hair, she walked into the in the office of her personal apartment. Although this office was smaller and less impressive than her actual office in the Embassy she wouldn't need much décor for a holonet call.

Her aide set up the connection to the offices of the Chancellor, before stepping into the background. A short time later, the connection was set up, and the face of Chancellor Acethoo hovered over the table.

"Good morning Chancellor, thank you for taking this call. I hoped to discuss your commitment to the promotion of terraformation technologies. To this end, I have an idea that might have some merit -- should you agree with it, I will later present this in the Senate.

As I understand it, the terraformation of Unity is still an ongoing process that proceeds slowly and with much difficulty. I propose that we make the terraformation of Unity an example of the power of cooperation between Union members. This will allow us to show other superpowers that we have the capability to undertake large projects in a singular and efficient fashion, and allow the member worlds to participate in a grand project that benefits us all.

To make this Green Unity a reality, my Emperor has given me permission to enter negotiations with other members and to pledge the use of our terraformation techniques to this goal. I have already obtained the support of the Praetorian Empire in this endeavour.

The Chancellor listened carefully to the proposal. She seemed pleased.

"The terraformation of Unity is especially difficult as it is a rogue planet and thus has no star. This, combined with the exposure to the interstellar medium, creates a special circumstances not normally found on planets.

I believe however that Veolian participation, and that of other worlds, in this project is an excellent idea. It will give us a common goal and provide opportunities to develop technologies in line with the Unions greater strategic agenda. You may count on my support!"

"Thank you. I shall announce our intentions after I have made some inquiries with other members of the Union."

As she closed the communication link the Veolian senator seemed happy. "Determine the best times to call the senator of Remunzia, Darya, the Sundarian Federation and Pandora," she told her aide.
