Dear Senator Mathi-ey C'b'rton,

Before the previous elections, I wrote to you with a request for political support. I suspect that the lack of decisive action in the this term has given the government of your world some time to think over my earlier offer. While my discussions with senator Tassar of the Teprogrenaian Consensus have made me revisit my legislative approach to limiting the production and development of droids, I still wish to pursue this goal, albeit through a softer approach.

I still plan on gaining Union-wide support to establish an improved trade infrastructure that will benefit every Union world by providing increased trade relations and through this an increase of cultural exchange. It is my hope that this way, those cultures that are polar opposites of each other can, over time, grow towards each other -- instead of forcing the other world to submit to a foreign culture through excessive legislation.

You have held the mantle of Minister of Justice for a very long time. With that stability comes respect and the knowledge that, regardless of the changing environment around you, you will follow a steady and just course. It is my hope that you will support me in the upcoming elections with campaigning support, and once elected help maintain the neutrality of the Ministry of Justice.
