Dear Senator Harek,
There are a few issues I see in your draft.
- Article 16. Marriage does not exist within the ACA. In fact, the entire word, and several words connected to it, do not exist within the Astrian language. There is little to no support from our population to implement the practice. To be completely honest, it is seen as rather barbaric by many Astrians. Also the ACA believes the individual should be the fundamental unit used by society.
- Article 21. I do not believe it is the place of the Union to decide how a faction governs itself, nor do I believe most factions would agree to it. Bare in mind, a significant portion of the Union members, including the ACA, do not use an electoral system. I advise you to remove this article entirely or it probably won't receive a lot of support.
- Article 25 (2). The ACA has a large amount children who have two biological fathers. A father is also a parent, they should be able to enjoy the same protection and aid a mother does. Fatherhood should be added to this article.
- Article 26 (3). A child should have the right to have at least some measure of choice in regards to the form of education it follows. Additionally education should be objective and factual.
I have also been informed the ACA is willing to capitulate on articles 16 and 26, should that allow slavery to be banned completely. It goes without saying we would prefer it if we didn't have to.
With kind regards,
Lord-Senator Kachiso Doshima
((OOC: In article 26 (2) it says "United Nations" Perhaps you want to change that. It's better to keep The Fourth Wall intact.))
