[Lord-Master]

A sealed paper envelope was delivered to the Sundarian leader. The envelope bore the official insignia of the Astrian Colonial Authority and the seal was that of the Lord-Master himself. The High Lord was also informed the envelope had been delivered by an official messenger from the ACA. The envelope contained the following handwritten letter.

To High Lord Yillia of the Sundarian Federation,

For a long time the Astrian Colonial Authority and the Sundarian Federation have been on good terms. Personally, I consider this friendship to be important to the Astrian people. This friendship has contributed to our relation with the Union and has, in my opinion, contributed greatly to the development of our culture and economy. It is my sincere hope you feel the same.

Despite this I must, to my regret, admit most of the Sundarian culture is unknown to us. We know a few basic things, such as the existence of nobility, but we lack an in-depth view of your culture. The inner workings of your political system are also somewhat of a mystery to us.

It is my belief that a better understanding of these things will increase the strength of our bonds and provide insights we may otherwise have failed to have.

My daughter has expressed an interest in the Sundarian Federation. Specifically in your culture. Both as a father and the Lord-Master of the Astrian Colonial Authority, I wish to encourage such interest in other factions. For this reason I would like to arrange for her to visit the Guaire System for a few weeks and have her meet with someone willing to tell her about these things, someone of a prominent noble family perhaps.

There is, of course, a matter that must be addressed should you agree. My daughter is still young and I am concerned for the safety of my only child. While I am certain she has nothing to fear once she arrives in Sundarian Federation territory, the route between ACA territory and Sundarian territory can be dangerous. Then there is the fact the Union is still at war with the Slave Rebellion. For these reasons I would like to request passage and landing for a single Astrian Colonial Navy warship, through Sundarian territory. This will allow her to travel safely and ensure a security detail is ready if needed.

Not unfamiliar with the more formal way of communication through penmanship, High Lord Yllia asked his staff to seek suitable accommodations for the diplomatic messenger and to inform him/her that he would free up some time to write a formal reply. After a while the messenger received a sealed letter which bore the personal seal of the High Lord of the Sundarian Federation.

To the Lord Master of the Astrian Colonial Authority,

I would like to thank you for taking the time to write me with this request, it has been a while since I've enjoyed the finer arts of the pen. Sadly the most proper way of communication, which I believe to be is in this manner, has been passed over for faster methods.

With regards to your proposal, I believe it to be most beneficial since I to consider the exchange of cultural ideas and respect for each-others views and beliefs paramount to a prosperous political climate, which in turn increased opportunities for cooperation and trade.

I've have spoken, be it briefly, with several representatives of the noble houses as well as with our Senator to the Union, the Princess de Obotanga. They feel it would be their honor to receive your daughter and introduce her to the finer aspects of our culture and political system.

It so happens that the Princess de Obotanga has decided to leave the Senate for a short recess back on Glasslyn. It is my belief that she would be a suitable match to tend to your daughter, at least for a part of her stay with us. This also solves another as you already mentioned, with regards to travel arrangements. Your daughter and her escort could simply join up with the Senator's protection detail as she travels to back to Glasslyn.
