Subject: Tax deduction on technologies
"Dear Lady de Montrève,
With the bill for tax deduction on technological research coming into effect we should determine whether we wish to apply for such deduction on our joint research into Xeno-obstetrics.
We have calculated that the currently remaining funding of the research project is 1104
. Should we decide to apply for a subsidy towards this project, the costs for each of us will be reduced by 83
.
We have no preference with regard to this issue, and we will go along with whatever your decision is in this matter. Do not forget to take the mandatory offer for the compensated transfer of any subsidized technology into account during your deliberations on this.
Yours sincerely,
Nehket Aeka"

" Senator,
Given the relatively low amount of tax refunded according to the new law ( 83
per party involved), together with the restrictions and mandatory sale to other Union members for a set price, I feel that it is not in our best interest to apply for subsidy on this specific research, as the expected market for this technology will be relatively small to begin with.
Yours Sincerely,
Peinaili de Montrève "
