We are in a critical time with the Union. Our military is stretched thin, and we are in dangerous territories with the Hutt. Foreign powers are rising up and stretching their muscles. The time has come for leadership that does not cut the military budget at every opportunity. I am stepping up to this task and I would hope to count you amongst those who go once more into the breach.

Naturally, the spoils will go to the victor, and in this case, the positions of Minister of Justice and Minister of Foreign Affairs are amongst those spoils. Can I count on your support for my candidacy?"

I regretfully inform you that the Veolian Commonwealth will not be able your support your candidacy this term.

Should you have approached us before associating closely with Deominius we would have supported your candidacy. Unfortunately some of our allies take the rumours of Deominius wishing to leave the Union very highly. We can not with clear conscience support your candidacy and ignore our close allies in this.

However, we share a great deal of your sentiments towards the current trend of reducing the Union military. We hope that the future will see us working together to strengthen the military tradition of the Union and through this the Union itself. Rest assured that our position in this does not stem from disapproval of your position, but from our wish to support our allies.
