Once in a while, if I hit the submit button, the forum goes directly to the thread without posting my post. Unfortunately, I have no deterministic way to reproduce the behaviour.

I have now had this happen more than a few times (more than 10 at least), and I have a strong suspicion that I am not the only one that has this problem. (As evidenced by viewtopic.php?p=23563#p23563).

I had written a long story which has taken me quite a long time and I pushed preview to see how it looked.
The new page did not load good and then it was gone.
Unfortunately, I had made no copy, so now I am angry and have to rewrite it later agian.

That sounds like a different problem. Might I suggest that you use the 'previous' button in your browser if this happens again? Usually you can go back until you get to the posting page -- with all your text still on it.

I cannot remember if I had an occasion of forum swallowing my post. Somewhere deep in the back of my head, a voice says: 'I might remember maybe one or two times', but I don't actually remember, so I don't trust that little voice.
