FWURG slow?

Hi,

Is it just me or has FWURG been very slow lately. As in it takes very long for pages to load.

Since I don't experience the same problem on other sites, I thought it might be something with the server or the site itself.

Slowness started a little after the recent maintenance was done.

Has anyone else been experiencing the same issue? And if not does anyone have an idea what I can do to solve the problem.

Thank you in advance.

Weird.

Slowness seems to be going on and off.

We are investigating the issue.

But it seems that it comes and goes in waves, so this might take a while.

I did some investigation during one of the recent waves of slowness, and have made some progress towards pinpointing the issue.

Unfortunately, due to the unreproducability of the matter (it has to do with an process that is sometimes run by dokuwiki) it is going to take a while to pin the problem down.

I have a decent idea of where the problem is, and will most likely be able to fix it on monday (when I have better access to the FWURG server). In the meantime, I'll see if I can get a temporary fix going.

Temporary fix applied. I'll keep an eye on http://status.fwurg.net/ to see if this calmed the server down.

Note to self: the tpl_indexerWebBug() call in main.php of the dokuwiki template has been disabled. Please re-enable at the earliest possible convenient moment to prevent serious problems later on.

@Gerben: that might be due to me forcibly resetting the web server. Let me know if it happens again.

The temporary fix partially remedies the issue. The problem persists with all bookkeeping pages T_T

Further investigation together with Gerben shows that saving bookkeeping pages is also horrendously slow -- it appears to work, but can be very slow.

While waiting, please do not refresh or open another tab with the bookkeeping page again. It will make everything slower :S

We have solved the slowdown problems. Everything should be working again.
