Awesome. And expensive. But awesome.
One small incongruity. Can't
Research be used for, well, research?
Second, will there be Open Market prices for TF modules?
Other than that, the players need to start thinking about forming joint ventures for this research.

We're looking at options surrounding Research, but it'll be some time before an option in this area will be available.
There will be a price for Terraformation Modules either today or tomorrow. Same for an icon on the forum.

How do the climate-alterations work? It is possible according to the wiki, but no mechanics are mentioned.

Climate Changes are in need of some tweaking still. They are an odd duck in the bite and need some special consideration. They will work similar to regular terraformation.
looks good,
the technology cost is high enough to prevent everyone from getting all their planets/moons to maximum.
also if somebody would take the time and money to research the technology then people could hire him to do the terraformation for them.
question, if I terraform a planet in an other players system, with his permission. do I need to ship the terraformation modules to that system?
the rules don't say anything about this, but I assume I would need to ship them.
question 2, is it possible to sell the technology or research it together with someone?
also I dont see the icon for terraformation modules available in the forum.

Hmm, originally I thought you'd pay the price, but shipping them over to that system actually makes more sense. Then again, if they are producing the modules and you get them, only to have to ship them all the way back, that'd just be silly. I'll write a rule clarification on this later today.
You can freely sell or give away technology. You cannot develop it with multiple people, but you can make a binding agreement to have the other person pay half, and in return they get the technology as well. That's basically the same thing, only the bookkeeping is easier.
It is correct that there is no icon on the forum yet. Expect it later today.

I'm not sure I follow this.
I assumed that the Terraformation Modules need to be 'in place' on the planet that you want to terraform, wherever this planet is.
Since it doesn't matter how the modules get there they can essentially 'ship' them to you for free (if they produce the modules on location) and you can just 'ship' them back -- this would effectively lend your technological expertise to their terraformation process.
Is that a correct summary of the current mechanic?

I have posted a clarification on this on the wiki page for terraformation
