Can a space habitat support population?
And if it can't would it not be cooler if it could?
Say a space habitat could support 0.2
and produces 2
to that end. There wouldn't be any problems with production bonuses as those go per 1.0
. Nor would it produce population growth.
Or would something like this require a technology?

I believe this does require a technology because you want something new outside of the current rules. However it won't be expensive since its not giving financial benefits.

Well, the population would give racial bonus on production on the space habitat, so population growth costs would be in order.
I think this will be a nice area for technology research.

I think Space Habitat population is a very cool idea, and very much in line with the idea I had for space habitats. I agree that there should be a limit on the amount, and a technology seems sensible to me, though I agree with Chriz it needn't be expensive.
