Trading questions

I have some questions regarding the use and upgrading of trade fleets.

1. Can I upgrade a trade fleet's capacity more than once per turn? (i.e. +200 cap for 1000 tax)
2. Can I upgrade more than one trade fleet's capacity per turn? (i.e. +100 cap each for 1000 tax)
3. Can I commit more than one trade fleet to a single route? (i.e. my 3 starting fleets for 600 capacity spread over a single route)
4. If I have 2 trade fleets committed to a single route, can I upgrade both of them in one turn?

5. Say I trade someone information through the Holonet, and he trades me Organics through a trade fleet. These are two trade routes. Is it possible to link these in an agreement so that when one is cancelled (because a party cannot or will not meet production quota) the other is cancelled too?

No. Any individual trade fleet can be upgraded at most once per turn. I will clarify this in the rules on the Wiki.

Yes. You can upgrade more than one trade fleet per turn, but only once on each individual fleet.

You can commit as many or as few trade fleets to a single route as you wish as long as their combined numbers meet the required capacity.

Yes. The operations of the trade fleets have no impact on their ability to be upgraded.

This can be done without problems.

I have another two questions:

6. Is it possible to assign a trade fleet to fly an import route instead of an export route? (For example, when someone else wants to ship large quantities of (:tradecap) Generic Product and does not have the capacity to do so?)

7. Is it possible to assign trade fleets to help out with other trade routes then those associated with your own system? (For example, can I help out a temporary ally in shipping (:tradecap) Generic Product to a third party?

Unfortunately this is not possible. Each world needs their own capacity.

For now this is also not allowed. However, you are free to give them taxes or deliver Mass Transit Cargo Freighters so they can upgrade their own fleets.

Both of these decisions are based around the fact that players who do not have the capacity to make certain trades should develop to be able to work on the scale they desire rather than becoming dependent on bigger players. You are free to help them, but help them develop instead of doing things on their behalf.

You cannot merge or split trade fleets.
