Since 100 Mass Transit Cargo Freighters form a single upgrade to a Trade Fleet it might be necessary to ship completed MTCFs to another location where they will form the required upgrade. (For example, if two systems both generate 50 MTCFs, these can be combined, rather than waiting an extra turn.)
How does shipping of MTCFs work (assuming trade is done in MTCFs)? Do you need to put a Cargo Freighter inside a Cargo Freighter (won't fit probably), or can you ship them by having them fly to the destination (and not costing any cargo capacity or assigned trade fleets)?

You can trade any specials, including Mass Transit Cargo Freighters. However, they need to be traded by means of Trade Fleets like regular goods. Assume they are being towed, compacted (since they carry no goods, they may be fold-able?) or taken apart and reassembled on the other end.
On the bright side, you do not have to pay upkeep for Mass Transit Cargo Freights that have not yet been formed into a fleet.
Keep in mind that the players need to assign trade fleet capacity for the number of goods they are exporting.
