With the recent bribery attempt against our supreme commander of the Union Defence Fleets and threats made against our Minister of Foreign Affairs a peaceful solution no longer seems an option. It is a matter of time before the Mandalorians will invade Union territory. The Union Defence fleets have been moved in position and are standing by.

In my position as Minister of Defence I call for a motion to declare war against the Mandalorian Fleets."

"We of the Teprogrenaian Consensus are against a declaration of war in this current situation. Such a declaration only shows our intention to fight, while this is something we do not like. The Mandalorians are outside Union Territory, and and so far have broken no rules set up by the Union, aside the few threatening messages they have sent.

We of the Consensus propose an official statement saying that the Mandalorian fleets are denied entry into Union Territory, and that them entering one of our sectors is treated like an act of war and will be responded with a declaration of war including the necessary safety actions."

If we wait till they invade the Hiocan Society and the Astrian Colonial Authority then it will be too late. We must show them that we will retaliate if they threaten us. I would also like to add that I think it very curious that the Mandalorians have not come forward with an ultimatum.

The only communications we have are their messages to Supreme Commander Alexander Giambastiani and their statement that they want the terms of our surrender. But no ultimatum has been issued as of yet. This attack, though not unexpected, is completely unprovoked!"
