The Senators who were present on Unity would have a loud knock on their door. Upon the door being opened, six soldiers and a Jedi would be waiting for them, hurrying the Senators to the senate building, which had gone into complete lock-down. Those senators who weren't on Unity would soon find their underlings waking them up, interrupting their schedules or otherwise getting them to a communication device.

It did not take long for the entire senate to be assembled. In the building, camera's were aimed at the speakers station, which provided a live feed to the citizens of the Union. The Chancellor stepped up to the platform.

"My fellow Senators,

At 15:04 today, the Mandalorian Fleets in Sector 6 -5, 6 -6 and 6 -7 began moving towards the Union, their first advanced scouts crossing our border at 16:02. Moreover, two Mandalorian Star Destroyers - no doubt advance scouts of a flanking force - crossed the Union border in Sector 9 -7, dropping out of hyperspace at 16:22 over a small Bisidn border outpost in that sector. The outpost was bombarded from orbit and completely destroyed, killing all 15.000 inhabitants.

Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow Senators. As of this moment, we are at war."
