The Chancellor looked to the left of the Hallway, where the Senators of the Holy Heimgolian Theocracy and the Divine Fiefdom of Highmons were seated a moment, before returning to her speech.

"Soon, several candidate members will officially become Inner Worlds of the Union. When they do, the Core Worlds would like to offer them a gift to welcome them into our family.

First of all, each nation shall, upon becoming an Inner World for the first time, be granted one of the new Embassy Buildings on Unity. These shall become sovereign territory of that nation.

Secondly, for the first 10 weeks of membership, all requirements to pay taxes to the Union shall be waved.

Finally, each world shall be granted an allowance of 10.000 taxes which may be spend on developing or upgrading zones in their systems, to be paid at a rate of 1.000 taxes per week.

We are certain that this gesture from the Core Worlds shall be successful in communicating our commitment to this Union and all of its members; both the old, and the new.

"On behalf of the Praetorian Empire i would like to thank the Union for this great opportunity.
We are very happy with this generous gift, this gives us an extra incentive to join the Union. We would like to know what the taxes will be after this 10 weeks before we can sign the official papers. These numbers are required for our strategic planning department.
Furthermore we have one final question. Could we use these additional taxes for improving our trading capacity? Since many trade opportunities will open when we join the union, we would like to grasp this opportunity to trade."

We shall have documents with the details of the tax law forwarded to your government immediately so that your strategic planning department may study them in detail.

Unfortunately, the money is intended for the development of the Lumo Duo System and therefore it is not possible to use it for the construction or expansion of the Praetorian trade fleets. However, you are of course free to spend tax money generated by existing or newly developed zones on these endeavours."

"Thank you Chancellor, on behalf of the Sundarian Federation, for this gesture of good will towards all. We hope that we prove to be worthy of this gift and the trust it implies. We would also request copy of the taxlaw and other laws the Union currently enforces , so that we may study them before we sign the Membership Act "

she then turned her attention to Senator Lonco and Senator Eldrilith

Peinali gave a short curtsey to both as she joined in their conversation

Senator Vestiik Ket Isika is old for a Kiitik, and the arduous process of accesion to the Union of Free Worlds has done her health no favors. The matriarch is helped up by an aide, a younger clansman with a head for numbers and a compad full of potentially relevant data. Standing, she is less a meter taller. It will have to be sufficient.

"Senators, Chancellor, I will be brief. The Clans thank you for this magnanimous gesture. This union shows its ideals by its actions, and your ideals are shared by the Clans. As you accept us today, so do we hope to accept and support others in the future. May all Life prosper."

The senator inclines her head, suggesting a bow, and retires to her seat, pleased with her speech, and more pleased with relieving the strain from her bones.
