Saret Ilius (through holonet) (mask of Saret Ilius) - PC
Shortly after the resignation of senator Nehket Aeka as the minister of foreign affairs, the embassy of the Veolian Commonwealth had sent a request to the senate: the emperor of Veolia wished to address the senate. The request was made to keep this communication out of the public.
As usual, after non-essential personnel left the senate hall, the lights were dimmed and the roof was closed before opening the transmission. After a short moment during which the transmission was set up, the holo display lit up, showing the three-dimensional image of a large man in familiar translucent blue.
"Esteemed senators of Union," the man started, his voice magnified through the senate hall audio system.
"I speak to you to address the sudden resignation of lady Nehket Aeka as minister of foreign affairs.
Due to recent events, chancellor Bolv'ar Ngyx of Excaria has seen fit to circumvent the normal diplomatic channels, and to adress us in person. As promised to him, we have taken an interest in the situation.
Chancellor Bolv'ar Ngyx has requested of us that we appoint another representative to take over the duties of Minister of Foreign Affairs. We have entertained his notion because we think that Union should present a strong leadership to other superpowers. However, we are of the opinion that lady Nehket Aeka raised a valid point.
We understand that this is but a minor issue, and that no action will have to follow. However, for this Union to work, something as fundamental as following a law on voting procedure should be adhered to. We strongly advice chancellor Bolv'ar Ngyx to see to the timely execution of procedures and promises in the future, as other infractions might not be so easily excused.
Because our wish that the Union projects an image of strong leadership, we have assigned Lady Khaw Rohana to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She will see to it that all standing directives will be executed. Lady Nehket Aeka will continue to represent the Veolian Commonwealth in her capacity as senator.
We thank you for your time."
With his last sentence, the holodisplay snapped off.

"Thank you for your insights and the assignment of the new Minister." this was all the Chancellor had to say on the matter.
