[T'Sal]

T’sal had been bothered by the news of a Veolian company making plushies of well-known Jedi. She and other have not been asked permission for this. She had hoped that the Jedi had taken some action to protect their privacy but it does not look like it as they are still being sold. So T’sal goes to Trigiel first to talk about it with him.

((OOC: If other wants to join please do. I want to talk later with a Jedi master about it.))

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Nathan walked in and sat down. He didn't like the fact that Jedi where used as a sales product without even being asked for permission. Let alone the false rumours they spread about Trigiel on a Union-wide news broadcast. He hoped other Jedi shared this view.

[Salia]

Salia also entered, seeming quite excited about the meeting, jumping up and down impatiently as she waited for things to get started. "Are you going to be the teacher?" she asked of T'sal

[Fecta Trigiel]

"Hello, you wanted to talk to me T'sal?" Trigiel said. "Careful with the headflaps, the paint is still wet as I have just applied some maintenance."

[T'Sal]

T'sal is glad that more people are concerned about the plushi making. T'sal looks to Salia surprised by her sudden question, but she answers nonetheless.

"I am thinking of becoming a teacher. But we are now here to discuss things."

She then turn to Trigiel.

"Yes, I wanted to talk about the Plushies they are making of us without our consent. You and miss Shebi seem to be quite popular and I was wondering what you think about this?

I am not amused and a bit surprised that the council has not done something to protect our privacy."

[Salia]

Salia listened carefully. Once T'sal was done speaking, she reached up her arm into the air as high as she possibly could without rising from her seat, waving it around wildly as if trying desperately to attract T'sals attention and get a turn to say something.

[Fecta Trigiel]

"I believe you want to say something, Salia?" Trigiel said in reaction to her desperate action for attention.

At the same time he thought to himself: 'Why is she here? If T'sal want to talk about privacy infringement of dolls than this is no place for Salia. At the other hand it is about dolls..."

[Salia]

"Can we get our own designs or do they have to look like us?" she inquired once Trigiel allowed her to speak. "Also, I've never used a sewing machine so who is going to help us if you're not going to be the teacher?" she asked of T'sal.

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

"Salia, that isn't what this is about." Nathan replied to the young jedi. "This isn't a class, it's a meeting. We are here to discuss what to do about the fact that a company in the Veolian Commonwealth is making plushies that look like us and putting our names on them. It was done without asking us permission to use our names or likeness. To make things worse they spread lies about Trigiel."

[Salia]

"So we are not going to be making our own plushies, out-compete and undercut the Veolian toy company by having the real Jedi support them with a positive message and then give all the profits to a children's charity?" Salia stated as if this information had all been on the notice for the meeting, but she had been the only one to receive it. Looking around with a very confused look on her face, she let her lekku hang as if she was now clueless as to the entirety of the situation.

[Fecta Trigiel]

"No, Salia, we are going to be very boring and talk about boring grown-up stuff. Of course I don't mind of decide to stay or leave, but we are not going to make anything."

Trigiel had nothing against Salia, he liked the little girl, but sometimes she a little too much energy and he was afraid that her presence here would make the meeting unnecessary long and with no end. She already claimed most of the attention here. But at the other hand it would be good for her to start thinking about subjects as privacy.

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Nathan couldn't suppress his laughter any more, so he let out a loud laugh. Salia's idea was theoretically brilliant, yet practically impossible, and the fact she just stated it matter of factly made it even funnier.

Just as he regained his composure he was pinged by a news update.

"Hmm, interesting. I just got a news report saying Nebesnogo endorses the plushies. We need to speed things up here. I suggest sending them a message from as many jedi as possible, asking them to stop and publicly apologise to Trigiel. It's probably a good idea to have a backup plan as well.

What do you guys think?"

[T'Sal]

“Salia it is a good plan, but unfortunately not everyone wants a doll of them. Having dolls of us Jedi, can also be a disadvantage as being recognized by everyone can obstruct our work. Some people want their privacy and not be famous. The Veolian company should have asked our permission. Now they are making them illegally.

With this news outbreak it is best to go to the council and get this settled for everyone.”

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Nathan shook his head.

"Apparently it isn't illegal or the ministry of justice would already have intervened, as would the jedi masters.

No, I think it would be best if we handle it ourselves. If we can't stand up for ourselves, how can we be expected to protect others?"

[Fecta Trigiel]

"To be fair, I don't really mind that they make plushies. I doubt it is illegal as well, otherwise the local government would have done something about it. The chance that any of us would be recognized because of a plushy is small, they do not really like me anyway. The only thing I mind is that they project an incorrect image about me which could have undesired negative effects in the future."

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

"Could be, but you two would know more about that as you have been to their world. Though I heard Jedi where well respected by Veolians. And there are more ways to handle this.

If we could get word out that they didn't even ask permission for using our names..." Nathan explained.

"Surely there are worlds within the Union that would agree with us and make this clear to the Veolian Commonwealth."

[Salia]

"But I wanted to make plushies..." Salia sounded deeply disappointed, even more so when Trigiel explained this would be very boring. "Can't we make plushies instead, because I think that would be more fun than talking about boring grown up stuff..." she suggested as an alternative. As if to strengthen her statement, Salia made a handstand so she was upside down looking at everyone, her skirt and top sliding down somewhat, but never really revealing anything as she was wearing a bodysuit underneath.

[T'Sal]

"You are probably right Nathan about the minister. So we need to check the Veolian laws.

Making it clear that they did not ask us and are against it seems like a good course of action. We can make a list of who has objections and who does not.

I think we can best plead our case at the Veolian embassy. They can help us and bring us in contact with the right people."

T'sal says to Nathan and Trigiel. Salia is getting irritated and so are they of her. So T'sal hopes to solve the dilemma by channel her energy towards the right direction.

"Salia if you want to make a plushi you better go to the crafroom. They have all the material there and probably there is someone there who can teach you how to make a plushi."

((OOC: I do not know which House owns the business or so, otherwise a message to emperor directly so that our right are acknowledge.))

[Salia]

Salia nodded enthusiastically to T'sals suggestion.

"I'm going to make plushies!" she told her, and without waiting for anyone to reply she turned to race off towards the craft room.

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Nathan let out an amused huff when Salia left, He wasn't irritated by her at all.

"Personally I think we need to apply pressure from the outside, get some non-Veolian political and large business people on our side. Put a little pressure on their government and they'll have no other option then to stop making plushies."

He replied to T'Sal.

"Or we could get someone to buy up a majority of their stocks, thus gaining control of their business. Then they stop it by executive order."

[T'Sal]

“Why should we put pressure on them? They did not ask us permission, but they have not done anything illegal apparently. I would rather first confront them ourselves before relaying on help from someone else.”

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

"Businesses aren't likely to stop a profitable endeavour just because a few outside people have a problem with it. Unless those people can cause a serious loss.

A little pressure will put us in a more favourable position for getting what we want. Which is for them to stop using our name and likeness for their jedi plushies."

[T'Sal]

"A little pressure is good, but I do not want to involve too many people unnecessary.

But let's get something done. I still want to go to the embassy to get some information. After that we can develop a plan."

[Fecta Trigiel]

"If you want to stop the plushy making business, you have to do two things: Ask at the embassy what house the business is from and ask information about the largest rivalling house. Than approach the rivalling house and tell them that you do not approve. They will handle the rest."

[T'Sal]

"Trigiel I do not think starting a fight between two houses is a good idea. Jedi should solve problems peacefully. "

With that T'sal left and goes to the Veolien embassy.
