As T’sal knows Veolian she first looks on the holonet to find more information about MPM Toys who makes the Jedi plushies. To which House does it belong and more information about the company itself like their mission and vision, strategy etc.

She wants to be prepared before going to the embassy.

T'Sal can easily find more information about MPM Toys on the holonet. On the company's holosite, T'Sal finds an online catalogue of numerous toys, some stock information, and the company's mission statement.

On first view, it seems the company is largely owned by the Khilauna family. The CEO of the company is Khilauna Nirmat, a hemet veolian. However, the company has gone public just over two years ago, and is being traded on the Megirda Exchange with code MPMT, currently at 7.851 credits per share with 10 million issued shares.

On closer inspection of the exchange's public records, T'Sal finds that the company's shares are roughly distributed among the Khilauna family (46%), Grey Glass Investments (29%), House Khaw (10%) and miscellaneous small investors (15%).

The Khilauna family as a noble family with strong ties to House Khaw, but recently they have started to feel around for other allies. Grey Glass Investments is a hedge fund mostly owned by House Dewa, though the hedge fund operates free of immediate oversight, they are counted as part of the core economic assets of House Dewa. T'Sal also finds that the miscellaneous small investors include a few wealthy individuals, from some smaller noble houses.

They company's mission statment is:
Mission Statement | MPM Toys
The mission of MPM Toys is to deliver high quality, safe, and innovative toys to the consumer.

We are very selective in investing in new projects because our aim is quality, not quantity. As a result, we balance the investments we make to launch and support each project with effective risk management skills, to ensure positive returns on those investments.

MPM Toys selects and matches the most appropriate holodesigners, packaging designers, finished goods vendors, and advertising agencies for each project. We are diligent in our research and preparation so that we can do it right the first time, resulting in products that meet our objectives and maintain our long-standing reputation as a quality toy company.

It's our company's goal to continue the MPM Toys legacy established over 60 years ago, through the creation of imaginative products and the management of profitable, long-term, brand franchises.

With more work, it should be possible to dig deeper into details on the company, its owners, other product lines they have planned, their competitors, or other related information.

T'sal looks up who owns the company is, what they plan to do, who their competitors are, etc.

With all this information loaded on her datapad T'sal goes to the Veolian embassy, to which she knows the way by hard now. She walks to the reception.

"Good day, I would like to file a complained against MPM Toys. Is there somebody of the trade office who could assist me in this."

The veolian woman behind the counter looked at the Hiocan.

"One moment, please."

She typed in a few things, and looked up again.

"The trade offices of House Dewa are on floor seven, miss. You can take the main elevator to the seventh floor, the reception there can help you."

A short walk and ride on the elevator later, T'Sal was standing in front of the House Dewa trade office reception. After restated her purpose at the embassy, her name, and her nationality, she was told to take a seat.

Five minutes later, a veolian woman with long white hair and two horns wearing a modest business suit walked up to T'Sal.

"Miss T'Sal, I am Prasak Sahaya, assistant administrator to lady Dewa Sundui. Please, follow me.", she stated in galactic basic.

T'Sal was led to a large, though sparsely decorated, office. Prasak Sahaya sat down behind the desk.

"I understand that you want to file a complaint against MPM Toys. Please explain the problem.", she stated.

MPM Toys have started making Jedi plushi without persmission, this intrudes our privacy.

Some have given their given and help develop it further, but I am and some others are against it. I see all this attention and publicity as an obstruction for our work. I do not want people to intrude into my live and block my movements."

"I see. Would you mind sharing your communications with MPM Toys with me, so I have a better idea of the situation?

If I know what the details are, I will be better able to determine the correct response."

"Mmmm", the veolian woman looked at the Jedi. "Am I correct in assuming that you haven't contacted MPM Toys yet?"

"If that is the case, might I suggest that you write a letter of complaint right now? If the letter is signed both by a Jedi, and by the House Dewa Trade office, MPM Toys will have to react."

"Miss Prasak, you are correct. I have not contacted them as I wanted first some more information and make sure I was going in the right direct.

Writing and letting is sign seems a good idea to me. I will then be going and start writing. Thank you very much for your help."

((OOC: Okay, going with the letter tactic))

"Make sure to come back here before sending it, I will make sure that Lady Dewa is informed of your efforts, and that the trade office can officially sign your letter. This will give it extra weight, and force MPM Toys to reply in a meaningful way."

She then led the Jedi our of the House Dewa Trade office.

"Until next time, Jedi."

((OOC: Okido ^_^))

T'sal returns with the letter to the embassy and had it over to miss Prasak.

Dear sir/madam,

MPM Toys are plushies of Jedi and this has been done without permission of all the involved jedi.

Some have given their help to develop it further, but I am and some others are against it. We see all this attention and publicity as an obstruction for our work as Jedi. We serve the public and would like to have some secrecy.

We therefore kindly request you to stop the production of our plushies and we would like to know where you get the source for the appearances of the plushies. We hope you can understand our situation.

Your sincerely,

Jedi T’sal, Nathan Miodrass Asillion.

((OOC: I have also given NPCs time to sign for the record.))

Miss Prasak was already waiting when T'Sal stepped out of the elevator. She led T'Sal to her office again, and quickly scanned the letter.

"Very well. I shall have the letter signed by Lady Dewa and sent. I am not sure how long it will take for MPM to reply, but it should be within the week."

Return to Jedi
