"That Vitress really does not care for anything does she?" Trigiel said in response on the activated self destruct. Then he walked towards the door and activated both his lightsabers again. He put them in the door and starts to make an opening for them to escape. While he is doing that, Trigiel said: "I need to know a few things: first, how long before we go kaploffee? second, how does the self destruct of this ship works, and last, how many escape pods and people are there on this ship?"

Leba, in a surprising feat of self-control for the smaller Hutt, pulls himself together.

"Err, not long. Maybe a minute? I do not know how it works, that's what crew is for.", he takes a deep breath. "Many escape pods and many people! Many many."

He looks at Trigiel sizzling his way through the durasteel blast doors in silence for a moment, the announcer repeating the shrill "Panka Puffee!".

"Oh nooooOOOOOoooo", Leba suddenly exclaims again, his calm seemingly gone. "The nice cantina on the waystation will maybe be explodeded. They serve the best keebadas binggona."

Trigiel, meanwhile, was making good time with both his sabers in the door. A moment after Leba finished his lamentation Trigiel kicks a circle-shaped hole out of the door. The durasteel circle hits the floor on the outside with a loud boom, and light rushes into the room. Now, they could get out!

"Wait what? Why would... oh never mind." Trigiel realised that Leba probably thought that when the star destroyers self-destructs, the debris would hit the cantina, which would be not that strange actually.

When Trigiel opens the door, Trigiel looks around at the guests. While he looks what the party actually had all along, he shortly went through his options: Everybody for themselves and try to escape, or try to stop the self-destruct. For the self-destruct, Trigiel had to know how it actually works. And therefore he needed a mechanic, not a guest.

"Leba, Gar, lets go." Trigiel makes Leba and Gar go first through the door. While they are crawling through the opening, Trigiel says to the guests: Everybody, please escape the vessel in a neat and calm order." Then the padawan realises that some of them probably don't speak Galactic Basic, so Trigiel says to Gar: " Gar, can you please repeat that in Hutteese?"

Trigiel didn't care much if the guests actually were neatly and calmly walking away, or that they started a big trampling chaos. As fast as he, Gar and Leba could he walks towards the hanger where he had landed the ship, letting Leba lead the way if the Hutt knew the way.

Along the way Trigiel grabs the first officer who looked like a mechanic: "You, do you speak Galactic Basic?" if he didn't, Trigiel lets Gar translate while he tried to continue to walk. "How does the self-destruct work, and how do I disable it?"

If this doesn't work with the first officer, Trigiel repeated the process either until he had a useful person, or until they were at the hangar.

Gar quickly translated Trigiel's evactuation instructions into Huttese, but the party-goers seem not to care and the whole 'orderly fashion' quickly devolved into a free-for-all run to the nearest escape pod.

The group of three moving slower than Trigiel would have alone, mostly due to Leba not being the fastest of runners. The first two engineering officers he found were dead, their bodies featuring saber wounds. Leba, for reasons unclear to Trigiel, led them through a different hallway than he walked through with Vitress. In that hallway Trigiel found the officer he was looking for. And the man even spoke Galactic Basic. He too was wounded by a lightsaber, but his wound was not dire enough for him to expire immediately. Unfortunately, as Trigiel bowed down to speak with him, he spotted the broken bones of the mans ribcage sticking out of his body. He was kicked in the chest with extreme force.

Even though the man was clearly dying, and his speech riddled with him coughing up blood, he spoke: "Go to -cough- engine command room -cough-, the code is cough Gamma-132-Panka-4..." The man, not yet dead, stared at Trigiel with a pleading look.

"Engine command room, code is Gamma-132-Panka-4." Trigiel repeated. If the man did not say anything more to complete the code, Trigiel said to Leba and Gar: "Leba, where is the engine command room, or a map of the ship? After that, go with Gar to the ship and escape this destroyer, just wait close by. You find out soon enough if I succeed."

If Leba is able to give the directions to Trigiel, the cyborg rushed towards the engine control room. If needed and if he could find a map, Trigiel quickly checked a map of the ship to see if he was running the right way.

Along the way, Trigiel tries to find an engineer who is still alive and kicking, and if at all possible, speaking Galactic Basic. He probably needs one.

Surprisingly, Leba could actually point Trigiel in the right direction. Sort of. Along the way Trigiel met almost nobody. Two servant girls were frantically running the other way, and made sure to let Trigiel pass without interfering.

Inside the control room, Trigiel found the corpses of two engineers. Both were killed with blastershots in the back. A change from the earlier pattern of lightsaber destruction. As he suspected, he was going to need someone to translate the texts on the different consoles. Everything here was in Huttese.

Luckily, the droid in the corner of the room was not destroyed. Trigiel recognized the droid as a near-universal maintenance droid, produced by the hundreds of thousands, and lasting for years. He only had to power it up, switch its operatin language to Galactic Basic and instruct it to do his bidding... Before the ship is blown to pieces... Without the manual...

Well, powering up a droid, that's something Trigiel could do, with his eye closed, and hands tied, hanging upside-down above a Sharlac pit. For an instant before activating the droid, Trigiel thought about setting the droid back to the manufacture settings, but he already realised that this would also wipe the hard drive mostly. So Trigiel just powered up the droid. Then he searched for the Galactic Basic setting. He tried to remember if he knew where the settings were. "common, commoncommoncommon, please let the force be with me." Methodically Trigiel went through the menus, always remembering what path of buttons he takes. He starts with the buttons he thought would lead him to the language menu, and from there he works through the other menus, trusting that the force will guide him towards the right menu.

Once he finally have the droid in the right language settings Trigiel instructs the droid to deactivates the self-destruct system: "The code is probably Gamma-132-Panka-4."

((OOC: Check approved.))

Trigiel manages to activate the droid and change it's interfacing language to Galactic Basic.

After the order, the droid quickly gets to work. As the droid is working on the console, Trigiel hears the muffled twump of an explosion happening on the far side of the vessel. The explosion is followed by several more, coming quickly closer judging from the sound of it.

Then, the explosions stopped. The droid chirped happily "*prr-fweeet-pffff* Self-destruct disabled. *Bzzt-click* Maintenance required on several key systems, power failure in 3.. 2.. 1..", and then the lights stopped working. The two shining eyes of the droid were all the light in the room "*fweeeet-chirr* Proceeding to forward power coupling for repairs. Estimated time to completion: two-thousand-seven-hundred-and-fifty-six hours."

Now that the the self-destruct is prevented in the nick of time, the droid picks up a box of tools, and starts walking down the hallway.

((OOC: Normally, I'd happily let players muck about in my missions. But in the interest of expediency and in the name of 'making you knight before the Mandalore mission kicks off', I suggest that Trigiel heads to his vessel to get out of here ^_^))

((OOC: Yes, I think although Trigiel had quite the interesting mission, he is rather done with it by now :).))

Happy that only part of the ship has been destroyed, Trigiel finally dared to breathe again. The ship has been saved, partially. Leba is saved, probably, so his mission is a success, maybe. Gar and Leba probably are now somewhere is space in his ship. Trigiel first tried over his personal comm to reach Gar and Leba: "Gar, Leba, are you there? It is save again. You can once again enter the star destroyer, or what's left of it."

If that didn't work. Trigiel went to the nearest communication panel he could find. If necessary, all the way to the bridge and there he tried again.

If he could not figure out how it works, he tries once again to find a translator for him: "Stupid Hutteese."

Whether Gar or Leba confirmed or not that they would land, Trigiel goes to the hangar bay either way. If his ship is not there, then maybe one of the other ships are still there.

Trigiel knows from experience that, normally, personal communications from inside a capital ship of this size can easily be hindered by interference and other signals from the ship itself. But the capital ship is effectively deactivated, so his message comes through lead and clear.

"Hi boss, we're here.", came the voice of Gar, "We'll dock at the same hangar."

Trigiel could easily make his way through the ship to the hangar bay. Once there, he discovers three things. First, there is no forcefield to hold the air in anymore. The moment he cranks open the door he is blown into the hangar bay. Lucklily, his Jedi reflexes allow him to grab the edge of the door and close it again to stop the airflow -- his cyborg body will allow him to stay in space for a little while. Two, his ship is silently floating inside the hangar bay, an a humanoid shape is currently using his boosters to get to a different vessel. Three, the crates with crystals are all gone, though he spots one of the strange crystals floating next to the body of a decapitated guard.

"Boss, I'm gonna take this other vessel as compensation for my troubles. I left Leba in your ship. The crates were gone when we got here, and no sign of the box of credits, so I'm guessing we're not getting paid.", the voice of Gar came over the comms as he climbs inside the other ship.

((OOC: Since everything is floating, I take it gravity is down? Although you describes it, it is not specified, so just to be sure.))

Nice, they listened to Trigiel’s plan. This saved him a long game of cat and mouse by chasing them with one of the ships here.

”Well, Gar, I was going to ask you were you wanted to be dropped of anyway. Though you’re lucky that I am so kind hearted, any more dark or disciplined oriented Jedi would likely punish you for the liberty you are granting yourself.

Have fun, Bye.”

Trigiel floats towards his ship. There, before he opens the airlock, he uses the force to grab the one crystal. Once it is in his possession, Trigiel opens the airlock and goes inside.

“Well Leba, here we go.” And so, Trigiel put the ships thrusters in reverse and exits the Star Destroyer. The padawan takes one final look at the mess he kinda is responsible for before setting of a course to the Union. The other Star Destroyer is way to busy cleaning up Vitres’ mess, Trigiel reasoned, so that should be no problem.

((OOC: Ah yes, sorry about that. Artificial gravity is indeed down in the hangar and the surrounding corridors. Though it was not down on the way here, so it is apparently working inside the bowels of the ship --my bad. Chalk that up to high quality Hutt ship designs, or something... ~_~))

Using the force to pull the crystal towards himself, Trigiel quickly takes hold of the shard. Inside the vessel, Leba was looking nervous, but no more nervous than he had been earlier.

"Let's get away from here, Jedi. Yesss?"

The view as Trigiel backed his ship out of the capital vessel was impressive: debris floats through the air from explosions on the ships outer hull, and large plasma fires rage at most of the hull breaches. To his surprise the second Star Destroyer was not busy cleaning up the mess. It was, in fact, not even present. The help that was present are the smaller vessels from the Ord Waystation that are already flying towards the capital ship to carry off debris. Two of the small vessels are already docking; Trigiel recognizes the logo's on them as a kind of 'freelance' medical group.

After setting a course for the Union, Trigiel could enjoy some quiet time -- Leba did not appear eager to talk or interrupt him.

((OOC: Unless you want to do something else, I'll fast-forward you to the arrival and Knighting ceremony. If you want to talk to Leba, talk with a master immediately upon arrival (before the ceremony), or do something else, please say so.))

Upon his arrival back at the temple, Trigiel introduces Leba to the master(s). Trigiel also hands over the crystal: "Long story short, I found this, it appears a dark Jedi is after it."

((OOC: You may fast forward me to the ceremony, Trigiel likes a talk with Qun Treen, but he want one after the ceremony. Maybe in a separate thread.))

Jedi Master Qun Treen
NPC

Trigiel discovered that master Qun Treen was already waiting, two knights present to take custody of Leba and escort him into the temple. However, now one of them is busy levitating the crystal through the Force, while the other takes Leba away.

Qun Treen looks at the crystal shard for a moment and nods before speaking.

"Padawan Trigiel. You have returned."

"The choices you made during your trail will stay with you forever. Perhaps determine what type of jedi you are.", the master led Trigiel deep into the temple stopping at a changing room.

"Inside you will find the robes of a jedi Knight. Change into them, and exit on the other side. I will wait for you there."

Inside the locker room, which featured simple benches and a few showers, Trigiel finds the knight robers lying on the central bench, neatly folded.

After donning them Trigiel exits the room through the second door, leading into a into a large, circular hallway, with patterns drawn on the ground. Jedi Masters and Knights had gathered, standing in a circle around Master Qun Treen. The circle had one open space on the side of the door, which allowed Trigiel to enter it easily.

Motioning to her, Master Qun Treen indicated for Trigiel to join him in the centre of the circle. Trigiel stepped forward, taking the indicated place.

"We are all Jedi. The Force speaks through us. Through our actions, the Force proclaims itself and what is real. Today we are here to acknowledge what the Force has proclaimed."

Master Qun Treen sounded dead serious and as he spoke the Jedi surrounding Trigiel closed the hole in the circle through which she had entered, leaving her in the dead centre as she kneels before Master Qun Treen, recognising the words of the knighting ritual.

As he completed the words, each of the Jedi activated their lightsaber, casting the room in a bright light of multiple colours, mixing to white in the centre.

Master Qun Treen brought his lit blade down above Trigiel's left shoulder, then his right shoulder, then moving to the left again.

With the last move, he cut off the Padawan braid, in Trigiel's case likely a string of beads or a piece of jewellery of some sort as his body did not have natural long hair.

"Trigiel. By the right of the Council, by the will of the Force, I dub thee, Knight of the Union."

With that, Trigiel had officially become a Jedi Knight. His final part of the ritual was to exit the circle in silence, the Jedi that formed it moving aside to make way for him.
((OOC: And that's it! Feel free to open a new thread to speak with Qun Treen, and don't forget to write a report!))
