((OOC: Since both of you posted that you were ready to go, but neither of you actually went, I am going to make some presumptions here about your plans.))

Ariana and Ajava moved back towards the castle through the same way they had done earlier. Climbing up was difficult once more, though Ariana had life a lot easier with her flying ability. So useful!

With the climbing covered, the two Jedi soon once again found themselves at the balcony. Inside, they could hear some minor activity, most of it the same chanting they had heard earlier. From here, they could once again sneak about the base.

((OOC: My intention with the 'no action' was to allow you the opening to have something happen before the sun went down, and we sneak into the base during night. Since this was what we discussed before the skill limits interrupt.

Can I assume that the day was uneventful, and that we climbed into the base at night?))

"Let's start with the datapads. If that fails, we shouldn't place the explosives either."

Ajava heads toward the meditation chamber. She does not allow herself to let the night's darkness put her at ease, as she knows full well that sleep is not always a necessity, and that seeing in the dark is something easily learned.

"Agreed. Get me in transfer range of the datapads."

Ariana follows Shebi Ajava to the meditation chamber where a large amount of datapads should be. When she arrives at the meditation chamber she looks at her own device to scan for datapads in range. With the guidance of Shebi Ajava she moves in range of the datapads without being noticed. When she has multiple datapads in range she starts the transfer.

Ajava and Ariana snuck through the castle once more, ignoring the chanting to make their way to the meditation chamber, managing to remain well hidden the entire time.

((OOC: Your check succeeds!))

Ariana soon found a whole slew of some thirty or so datapads in range, beginning the transfer towards them with the new schedule and erasing routine. All seemed to be going well, and soon the datapad notified Ariana that the uploads had been completed.

Time for the next move!

After completing the transfer Ariana moved away from the meditation room.

"The new schedules are in place. Next are the explosives. I will follow your lead. "

Ariana followed Shebi Ajava at a safe distance just like they did when they first entered the castle.

"Acknowledged. Since we haven't found any areas that seem of particulair value compared to the others, we'll just place our explosives where they will make an impressive-looking mess: the power nodes. Help me find the power node in this area. Then we'll place on in the training hall, and the last one in the torture room."

Ajava starts looking for the power node in this area. If she finds it, she hides one of the smaller explosives in this area, with all the screens and curtains this will definitely look impressive.

She then moves to the training hall to search for the power node there. She intends to place the third explosive in the torture room.

((OOC: I don't really want to spend three weeks going around the base again just to place the explosives... But I also don't want to post a sequence of actions as if it is a program; so I have opted to take the longer (in time) option anyway. We really should find a better technique for this problem as it crops up frequently.))

Ariana walked on behind Ajava, not adding much in this phase of the plan. Ajava managed to set up explosives on the various power nodes throughout the building. Sneaking around they had figured that out by now and the two were able to find all the power nodes.

However, there was the issue of the prisoners. They might be killed in the explosion if Ajava placed bombs in the torture room.

((OOC: I don't want to spend 3 weeks re-describing the locations. Tell me where you want to plant explosives and how you want to deal with the prisoners in relationship to the explosives, and then I'll move us forward to where you are about to press the button!))

Ajava plants explosives at the power nodes of the meditation room, the training hall and the torture room. All the main areas necessary for training and education here. For good measure, and to increase the chaos, she also places explosies in the Throne Room, and near (but not in) the Master Bedrooms.

Their first trip into the base made it clear to Ajava that they were not going to get the prisoners out without compromising their mission. So, she sneaks past them and into the torture room to place an explosive there anyway. She plans on not discussing the issue with Ariana and remains silent during the work, unless Ariana interupts.

With her job done, she sneaks back to the balcony and places the explosives for the students there to be found by those that were going to read the new 'exercise'. She then starts her climb down the castle and searches for a vantage point that allows her to observe who is on the balcony from outside of the castle.

Ariana follows and when necessary assists Shebi Ajava with placing the explosives.

When they come close to the prison she realises that the prisoners might all die, however they are not here to rescue them. They are simply not equipped for such a mission. Even if they would try most of them would probably freeze to death anyway. Ariana thinks about talking about the prisoners but realises that it is of no use.

She remains silent as well and follows Shebi Ajava out of the base.

Deciding against helping the prisoners, the two Jedi exited the castle once the explosives were in place, returning to their base camp and waiting.

For a long time, it appeared to remain quiet and doubt seemed to creep in as to whether or not they would be succeeding. It was taking too long, it seemed. Had their plan been disco.

BOOOM!

There was an earth-shattering kaboom up at the castle, fire coming from various windows and arrow slits along the walls!

Something had gone right, but whatever it was, there would now be a lot of buzzing of activities, and perhaps the two Jedi wanted to take some more actions in the chaos, like setting off extra explosives!

Ajava wants to set off the second set of explosives as soon as possible after the first group. She uses her remote detonator to set off the group of explosives they themselves had strategically placed in several key locations.

She then grabs her binoculars again and started watching the balcony some more, a little miffed that she didn't spot the students getting their explosives...

((OOC: I'm not exactly sure if I was in a position to watch the balcony; I explicitly noted that I did so in my previous post, so I'm OOCly assuming I failed my check to notice the students creeping about on the balcony... Which would make them pretty good at stealth, which is not surprising ^_^))

Ariana enjoyed the sudden chaos. She watched the fire and waited for a little while, just looking from their distant hiding spot. She did not say a word.

A column of smoke rose up from the buildings, fires being present. Because of their distance, it was hard to make out what exactly was going on, but Ariana picked up on some radio chatter that patrols in the area were returning to help deal with the chaos - they did not describe what was going on, possibly afraid that the frequency was compromised as communications seemed to be dying down soon after.

At one point, Ariana noticed several people being tossed out of windows and plummeting to their depths, including one who was kicked off the balcony by a lightsaber wielder. There was no doubt that they were very dead, given how long of a way down it was.

After almost an hour, things seemed to be quieting down, though it was clear a lot of damage had been done, and smoke was still rising up from various fires, though they were being controlled at least. Ariana and Ajava were reasonably sure that their mission, though coming at a high cost in lives, had been a success. Perhaps it was time to return home? The Taun-tauns sure wouldn't mind.

((OOC: These guys are sneaky, and I did a check for you to spot them (which got a penalty because of the distance) and you failed that. Hence why I described it seemed to be taking forever. Please note in your next post if you are ready to head back.))

((OOC: I already suspected something like that -- though the lack of reference to watching or looking in the post threw e of track. Might I suggest placing a single sentence or phrase with regards to the action taken by the player for future posts? It would help with making clear that the player's actions were received ^_^))

Ajava has a quick look at the map to determine the route that is least likely to be taken by returning patrols. It would effectively remove any doubt that there were outside saboteurs...

She then saddles her taun-taun, and heads out together with Ariana.

Ariana listens to the patrols and tries to use the information she receives to determine a route avoiding them. She also packs her stuff and saddles up her taun-taun. Ariana follows Shebi Ajava on their way back.

Manoeuvering carefully, the two Jedi mounted their Taun-tauns and began to make their way away from the castle.

Ariana was unable to pick up any signals, the patrols seeming to have switched frequencies now that chaos was abound, or perhaps they had simply stopped communicating.

Ajava's intuition and tracking ability led them safely back to their ship however. Casting one final glance over the landscape, and the column of smoke in the distance, the Jedi loaded up and took off, leaving the planet behind.

((OOC: You didn't specify if you were ready, but I am presuming that you are since none of you made any claims to the contrary and your behaviour is indicative of people who are leaving))

The ship made it into orbit without problems, and the Jedi made sure to stay on the other side of the planet from the base while hopping into hyperspace to ensure that they would not be detected - it would be rather embarassing to waste all the stealth effort by leaving a clear hyperspace trail.

After some jumps along heavily travelled routes to further throw off any pursuit, the ship made it safely back to Union space and to the Hiocan spaceport where they had bought their taun-tauns.

Here they would be able to get rid of their mounts should they so choose (or they could keep it if they wanted to), and they could set up a secure meeting with the leaders of the overal mission over the holonet, thus saving themselves a trip all the way to Unity.

((OOC: Or you might have other plans? I'm giving you a chance to break here a sec also because the other thread isn't finished yet ^_^))

Happy that the mission seems to be succesful, Ajava was in a good mood.

"Say Ariana, how about I sell these taun-tauns in the spaceport and you set up some communication with the headquarters? After we reported our succes we might even have some time to visit some of the Hiocan historical sites. I have heard that several of the ruins and old buildings are very impressive."

If Ariana agrees, Ajava heads out to sell the taun-tauns again and returns to join the debriefing.

((OOC: I'm have no problem to be put on break for as long as necessary, though I humbly ask that we are allowed to hand in a story page and get a mission completion point and possibly the associated (:xp) so that this mission isn't hanging in limbo for a month or two, and so that I can level up Ajava before the next mission is started in rapid succesion ^_^.))

Ariana is happy they are back in civilization. "Sure thing, I am not keeping this beast. I will set up a secure connection using the Hiocan holonet. "

Ariana used the ships communication system to set up a secure connection routed through the Hiocan Holonet.
