[9 -8] Looking for a Jedi (part 2)
Trigiel wanted to say something, but he waited for if Ajava or Ariana wanted to say something. Given the situation, he thought it wiser to let the knights settle the matter.

From within the smoke, Ajava quickly takes in the change of situation. Her brain splitting into multiple threads of consciousness, she quickly weighs the chances of her observations and arrives at the most likely conclusion.
She closes her eyes for a moment and reaches out to contact Ariana: "Ariana, please make sure their escape vehicle is not available. And make sure they don't capture ours." ((Check: 18 = 10 Force Level + 6 Energy + 2 Telepathy -- contact Ariana before revealing herself))
Then, she steps out of the smoke while she deactivates her lightsabers, making sure that the man and hooded woman are aware that she just put away her weapons.
"It is good to see you well, knigh Hightower.", she addresses the woman. "I take it that this is the father?", she asks as she nods towards the man.

Ariana answered to Shebi Ajava with only two words. "Roger that."
Directly after that Ariana contacted Bob."Keep your distance Bob, we are fine for now."
Ariana started to fly towards the ship that the pregnant woman jumped out of. She stops between the ship and the rooftop and waits for the conversation below her.

Shebi Ajava - PC
Seeing Ariana actually achieve what she asked of her, Ajava put the two force users at ease.
"You have my word as a Jedi that we will not attack or detain you after we have talked a bit.", she said clearly to the woman and the man. Normally, she had a certain reservation about her being a Veolian noble and all, but in this promise she was sincere.

"Yes, we actually have no intention to cause you harm, we just want to talk." To emphasize, Trigiel deactivates his lightsaber, and with a familiar *hiss* *dzzjshhhs* the purple blade retracts and the saber shoves back into his arm pocket.

"You got a funny way of showing it." The man said, gesturing his head to Ariana.
The woman remained silent for a moment. "And what gave you the impression I wanted to talk? For that matter what is there to talk about?"
Her tone was confrontational. It seemed she was not to happy with the group of jedi looking for her.

Ajava reaches for her communicator, and with a clear voice said the following: "Ariana, please let them go if their ship comes to pick them up."
She looks at the woman.
"The fact that you jumped down and asked those questions gave me the impression that you did want something at least.", she continues in a friendly tone.
"Clearly, you and your partner are very powerful; he just took out their most skilled, and ludicrously persistent duelist. And you nearly took their duelist out with a ranged attack without drawing your saber. I do not think we can pose a serious threat after that."
Ajava holds her arms slightly spread and open-palmed at her sides, to show that she is not getting ready to attack.
"Here is the thing. Any Jedi is free to leave the order if they please. The only thing you will have to do is tell us, honestly, who you are and that you wish to leave the order of your own volition. Padawan Trigiel here will witness that you told this to me, and I will relay your message to the council.", for what is possibly the first time in her life, Ajava is absolutely sincere in her proposal.
"And that will be the end if this."
((OOC: Just to be clear, Ajava is not pulling this from her blue behind! The Jedi Recruitment information clearly states: "Jedi are free to leave the organisation if they please,...". This is a rather fundamental fact, not something anyone would easily forget.))

Ariana deactivated her lightsabers and started flying a few meters to the left, giving the pair a clear path if they want to leave. However if they become hostile she is still capable of reaching the ship.
Ariana does not say anything, she only nods once in the direction of Ajava after moving.

Trigiel stands there, he is not quite sure if he and his companions have any business with these people, but the woman sure looks like the one they are looking for, so hey just waits for their responses.

The woman took off the hood of her cloak, revealing her face. The hologram of Irina Hightower, while naturally looking like her, had failed to capture the intensity of her eyes.
"And when the Jedi Council learns that the father of my child is a Sith, they would come after him. I have foreseen it. They would attempt to control him out of fear and lead him to his death.
I will not let my child die because of them. This is the only way to ensure my child can learn the ways of the Force in a caring, unprejudiced manner. As long as I am still a Jedi, they will trust I will do the right thing."
The Jedi Knight paused.
"And why would I take your word for just letting us go? I find it hard enough to believe you are actually Jedi. That aggression of yours has no place in a Jedi. Your lack of care for a Padawan and those red lightsabers? If I didn't know better I would say you were a Sith yourself. Not to mention your Praetorian friend."
Turning toward Ariana, she continued. "'Screw this I want to hit something.' Is that something a Jedi would say? I may have broken the rules of the Jedi and run away from them, but I know that is not the way Jedi Knights should behave. All the more reason not to leave the ranks of the Jedi, or they would become the very thing they swore to protect the Union from."

((OOC: I do not enjoy having my character berated, again, for a situation that she has no IC control over and that is forced on her through OOC actions of the ST...
You OOCly decided to end the combat with Baldy by having the randomly powerful NPC step in and kill Baldy in a single attack. Not only did this make anything we did in the combat irrelevant, it also makes clear that our PCs really do not matter at all here: the random NPC takes all the credit for being cool and relevant away from us by one-shotting the Sith. And on top of that, your other extremely powerful NPC is now berating Ajava for not being 'good' enough even though you removed the option to actually rescue Trigiel by shortcutting the fight.))
Ajava finds the reasoning of the woman to stem from confusion, but decides that the pregnant Jedi Knight might actually know more about the inner workings of the council than she does herself. She ignores Irina's remark about not being a good Jedi, since she finds that whole line of reasoning ridiculous -- clearly the situation was perfectly well under control, and as always her trust in the force was not misplaced.
"Irina", Ajava spoke with a neutral voice, "Master Leithor was worried about you when you left without leaving a message, and sent us to find out what happened. He asked us to bring you back to the temple, since the council wants to hear the reason of your disappearance from you personally."
"If you decide to remain a member of the Jedi order, you also accept that you fall under the authority of the masters, and the council. We merely convey master Leithor's message that the council wishes for you to return with us to the Jedi temple on Unity. If you want to remain a member of the Jedi order, you ought the obey the council.", Ajava continued calmly. "If you do not want to come with us, that is fine with me as well. It is not the way of the Jedi to force someone to do things against their will."
"However, I can give you no guarantees that others will not come looking for you, as the council might well decide that -- since you are still a member of the order -- they wish to speak with you personally. On the other hand. If you leave the order, as everyone is free to do, the council would hold no authority over you. If this is so, I would do what lies within my power to ensure that you can have the peaceful existence as a mother that you deserve, without interference from the Jedi Council."
Ajava took a step back, to given the mother and father some room, "Regardless of what you decide, simply say so now, and I shall take my leave. We will travel back to Unity and relay your opinion on the matter to master Leithor and the Jedi Council."
She then simply waited for the pair to react.

'So, she is indeed the Jedi we're looking for.' Trigiel thought, 'how convenient,' his thoughts continued, 'that saves us a long and entertaining mission in the field, so we could go back to fruitful meditation. And that all just because we followed a randomly running dude. The force indeed works in mysterious ways.'
Trigiel didn't really had the idea that he was not taken care of. Sure the fight was difficult, but he managed, and everything went right, right? Besides, the 'running guy' merciless killed mister baldy. How so 'we are no jedi'? The Padawan wanted to open a secure channel to Ariana, but refrained himself for doing so for the moment. First let's see Irina's answer.

@Ajava: First of all: Again? Can you specify to what instance you are referring? Because I do not know.
Second: I'm not berating you. Knight Hightower is giving you her opinion based on what she has observed.
Thirdly: I have no problem with the actions you or anyone else has taken during this mission. (I may not have always agreed with them or approved them, but that's something else) As for the running man killing Baldy, perhaps reading the first post he appeared him will explain that a little. It was because you guys distracted and weakened Baldy the running man could finish him off.
Lastly: Where does it say you have to finish your first opponent to engage another? That comment about helping Trigiel was also directed to Ariana. That was not clear and for that I'm sorry. But both you and Ariana could have gone to help Trigiel at any point in time, instead I had to do that. You have had plenty of time to help him.))

Although Ariana was a bit confused and frustrated by the answers of Irina she was completely calm now. The short fight was enough for Ariana to blow off steam and regain her focus.
She decided that Irina's opinion was not really worth much and the situation was still too confusing to judge.
Ariana looked straight at Irina and waited for her to answer the important question of Shebi Ajava.

The one where you OOCly asked for our equipment list before you ICly (and OOCly) informed us of the conditions of the planet we were to travel to. That was also a thing where my the IC status of my character was forced by OOC actions outside of my control.
(emphasis mine) The fact that you claim here that you had to help him kind of disproves the your earlier statements that you are not berating us and that it is 'only Knigh Hightower giving her opinion'... Besides, I did not have plenty of time to help him, because the combat was cut short before I could step up to help; it lasted for the whole of 3 rounds...
In the first round, making estimations of someones combat prowess is difficult. And in the second round you started about teamwork, and then promptly punished Ajava and Ariana for attacking the same opponent -- effectively making us lose the whole round of effort. So, in round 3 Ajava was effectively locked down with fighting the other guy -- and he would've sliced her into small pieces if she suddenly turned her back to attack someone else T_T
Ok, look. I know I sometimes sound harsh. I do not mean this as criticism against you personally, and hope you do not take it as such. I say this on hopes of showing how I as a player see what happens -- you as an ST have a lot more information than us as players, which makes it difficult to envision how things feel to the players.
Anyway, let's continue the RP.))

Second,... Actually it's probably better to "move along." *gestures with hand*))
Irina looked to the running man. Then she turned back to Ajava. "Did Master Leithor tell you I was a candidate for becoming a Jedi Master?" Her tone changed to a more gentle one. "A considerable feat for anyone. But especially for me, since I have had PTSD since I was four.
If word got out a Master candidate left the Jedi Order, it would raise suspicion with the Senate. That would cause trouble for the Jedi. The Jedi have been good to me, I don't want that to happen. But I have an obligation to my child too. Peter and I want our child to grow up happy." At the last sentence she looked to the running man.
He looked Ajava straight in the eye. "I know you have no reason to listen to a request from a Sith like me." He said. "But I want to ask you three to keep Irinas pregnancy a secret from your Jedi Masters. For her. So she can have our child in peace. I know that she will want to return to the Jedi at some point."
He took a deep breath before he continued determined.

"Post traumatic stress disorder. I'll explain later.", Ajava softly says to Trigiel.
Ajava looks pensive for a moment as she set parts of her conscious to work on analysing the opinion of Irina.
"I understand your request", is all she replies.
"May the force be with you", she says with a nod before turning around and heading to the far side of the roof. Seeing how they are up on a high building, the whole 'taking leave' things is not as impressive as Ajava had hoped, but it gives the pair space to call in their ship and get out of here.
"Bob, please come pick us up on the far side of the roof after the other ship has left.", she messages bob over the open channel she shares with her companions and the ship.

Trigiel noticed how Ajava walked away. Having nothing to actually add, he bowed to Irina and the running man: "May the force be with you." After which he followed Ajava to the edge of the roof.
Ariana was fine with the situation. They were not tasked to force Irina to come back to Unity, asking her to come back was within mission parameters.
Ariana said: "As you wish."
She flies towards Trigiel and Ajava and waits bob to pick them up.

Irina bowed her head. Irina and Peter walked to the edge of the rooftop. Neither saying a word. The three Jedi could sense they where talking though. The ship of the two approached the roof but still kept some distance.
Irina jumped into the ship. Peter, however, turned around.
"Thank you." He said before turning around again and jumping after Irina. The ship started backing up as the hatch started closing and flew away, heading upwards.
Bob executed Ajava's orders and approached the other side of the rooftop. The hatch of their ship opened. Once the three Jedi were on-board Bob asked them if they were heading back to the Jedi Temple. They would need to report back to Master Leithor.
((OOC: While this mission is technically finished now, I think a small exchange of dialogue with Master Leithor is not uncalled for. ((OOC: I wrote the story page. Note that the story page is not the same as the mission report to the master: the story page is a easy-to-read summary of the mission, while the report is what is reported to the council.
