((OOC: For my next action I am considering moving between the rocket launcher guy and the ship and flying the K.O. green enforcer with me. I am not sure how heavy these guys are. Is this possible?

((Check: 15 = 8 Force Level + 4 Strength + 2 Flight + 1 Force Speed -- Rushing towards their ship on the beach and dragging the green enforcer with her.))

Can u give me some ballpark about the weight of that guy, the distance I would need to travel to get between the rocket launcher and our ship and how much It would affect my character to drag the green enforcer along?))

((OOC: They are heavier than they look. While you are able to lift him while flying, it will cost you a lot of effort -- slowing you down and preventing you from concentrating on other things. The thing here is that for carrying things you need raw strength. Your Force Level helps you in execution actions, it does not 'upgrade' your Strength 4 to Strength 12. Does that make sense to you?

Reaction to your edit: Do not call me 'u', you illiterate person. The green enforcer weighs in at roughly 220kg... You'd need to move about 30 meters (based on my estimations of distances in http://www.fwurg.net/dokuwiki/_media/us ... -in-2.jpeg, knowing you are fighting on the driveway into the base seen between the two turrets, and your ship being parked on the beach on the part of beach obscured by the tree), and you would come roughly 20 meters if you drag him along through the air.))

((OOC: @Nathan: I can understand how this would feel unfair, and I apologize for not taking more care with making sure the situation is clear to everyone.

I try to make sure that all pertinent new details are available to everyone. When something is not clear, I try to answer clarification requests with expediency. Even doing that is sometimes not enough -- in this case for example, where no clarification request was made because we both thought the situation was clear.

The problem for me is that I already spend roughly 90 minutes on writing a single combat round post, and the larger part of that is checking combat blocks for all involved. I can't read minds, so I do not know what details the player do or do not remember. Because of this, I do my best to describe to you all changes in my post (and sometimes I resort to an OOC note for clarity).

As far situational clarity, the large number of opponents does not help. In future combats with multiple combatants, I will try to see if including some kind of sketch of the situation as an image will help. That will take some time to get done as well, but I think it will greatly improve the clarity of the situation.))

Ariana deflects the sniper shot from the Blue enforcer with her lightsaber, she tries to deflect it back towards him.

After defending herself she quickly checks out the Green enforcer from up close to make sure he is down for now.

Seeing the Blue enforcer switch his weapon Ariana grabs the Green enforcer between her claws and starts to fly towards him and their own ship to make sure she is somewhere between their ship and the blue enforcer if he decides to fire the rocket launcher.

While flying Ariana activates her communicator on broadcast to everybody in the area. "Hold your fire. If you fire that rocket launcher, your green friend dies!"

((OOC: I am fine with the K.O. situation.

Since the green enforcer is down their is no opponent near me in my direct vicinity. This would effectively mean I can not attack the blue enforcer. However I do not want to claim a +5 on my check and have no combat style bonuses left in the next round.. This would be stupid since I am still a Jedi with a lightsaber fending off some blaster shots.

If I could rush the guy their would have been no problem. However now I am in an awkward situation with a melee weapon that I cant use on my opponent yet.

I know that I probably can not deflect the blaster shot back to the blue enforcer, however this is the only thing I could think of in this sitiuation that comes close to attacking him with my current weapon.

What do you think about an opponent out of reach from melee weapons?))

((OOC: It's all right, I may have overreacted a bit.))

Seeing the Grey enforcer take aim at Trigiel, Nathan's brain analysed the tactical situation in a split second.

"Oh no you don't." Nathan said to himself as he shot forward. Crossing the distance between him and grey in mere seconds.

When he almost reached his target he pushed himself off and into the air. Before grey had a chance to fire, Nathan's lightsaber cut diagonally through him. Dropping back to the ground he landed, shortly followed by the pieces of the Grey enforcer.

"You should have split."

((OOC: Yes, Christmas and sick girlfriend took allot of time :(.))

From his eye, Trigiel spotted the grey enforcer. However, as he reasoned, from that distance, the Grey Enforcer wouldn't be too much of a threat. Upon noticing the Blue Enforcer, Trigiel sighted in himself, 'Master Ariana might be a skilled jedi,' he thought, 'but loosing the rocket launcher really is a silly youngling mistake.'

Immediately Trigiel makes a small analysis: letting Ochre go with Pink: threat: Low, mission endangerment: Low, Angry Master: Low, extra note: shuttle might have blasters.

Letting blue blow up Shuttle: Threat: medium, mission endangerment: low, Angry Master: High Extra note: They have to take the other shuttle.

Meaning: Blue has no effect on the mission, but Master Nishra will be sad because of lost Hornet. Conclusion: Stop Blue

Trigiel decided to let Ochre go with Pink, and to ignore Grey as long as Grey formed no threat so he can focus on Blue.

The cyborg padawan fends of the brute swipes from the Ochre enforcer, and the next moment, Trigiel deactivates and retracts his purple lightsaber. He sacrifices some important defensive capabilities, but in return, his right hand is now free. With the Ochre enforcer no in retreat, Trigiel rushes as fast as he can towards blue. From his leg pocket, Trigiel get his blaster, and shoots at blue while he is concentrating at aiming. Although he knows that this won't actually stop blue. This unexpected attack should distract him long enough for Trigiel to get close(r).

((OOC: I know they were not moving towards the hornet. That's why Trigiel does not believe them to be a major thread if the shuttle is unarmed. They fly away and thats it. However, if they blow up the Hornet, Nishra will be disappointed that the jedi are not taking care of their appointed vessel.

About my action, well, Trigiel wants to attack Blue, however he is out of range. Maybe I am kinda rules-lawyering the biz with the following chain of thoughts: In normal combat, you can take an offensive DCA by pulling out a gun and take a few shots. (The question if this will work aside.) So Trigiel attacks Blue with Paraan-Talim, using an offensive DCA with his gun. Blue is out of range of Paraan-Talim moves, making all of Trigiels attack miss aside from his blaster shots. As a result, the only relevant attack scores towards Blue are Trigiel blaster scores, which is [Force level + DCA - off balance]. So to make the combat block correct I realise, I have to note this in the list of stuff. So while Blue is switching weapons, Trigiel is taking a DCA, and thus does not have to switch. But this is actually kinda bending the rules of DCAs to sneak in a long range attack.

About the DCA and Non Combat Action: I don't want to use a NCA to run towards Blue to get in range of the lightsaber for two reasons: first, I don't want to waste a valuable round in combat for running and second:it feels silly. The action to grab a rocket launcher, take aim at a ship and fire feels like it will take a lot more time than to grab a blaster from the holster and take a few shots. If Trigiel has the option to try to safe the ship this way, I cannot justify him loosing the ship. (Of course, there are enough ways to work around so this will be no issues, and I can slightly go of-character to prevent issues, but I like to prevent those workarounds and do what Trigiel would do to be awesome).))

((OOC: I have thought a lot on the ooc remarks and questions by Ariana and Trigiel. I think the question "What do you think about an opponent out of reach from melee weapons?" is deserving of a good explanation. I also think that right now is not the time nor place to answer it. Right now we should continue with the mission so we can bring it to an end within the first month of 2015. When the mission is over, I hope to address these issues in detail.

For now, I have determined that combat is effectively over: Ariana, a Force level 8 Jedi trained in the ways of Soresu with Circle of Shelter, is capable of more than the combat system allows per 'rules as written' (and the fact that her normal ratings overcome all 3 rings of Blue certainly helped).))

The skirmish between Trigiel and the Ochre and Pink enforcers ends in a retreat of Ochre and Pink: Ochre's wide sweep is a last attempt to keep Trigiel away, but the Jedi has other things on his mind as he stows away one of his sabers and draws his blaster to take a shot at the Blue enforcer. Ochre takes the hint, and jets past Pink to pull her up with him into the air and away from Trigiel.

At the same time, Nathan rushes over the terrain with the subtlety of a tidal wave rushing over a tropical island. As he nears the shuttle above which the Grey enforcer hovers, he shoots into the air, his lightsaber a ribbon of green slicing through the Grey enforcer. At the apex of his jump, Nathan sees the expression on the face of the Grey enforcer. The young human man, most likely not even 17 years of age, wears an expression of surprise rather than pain as his legs and lower body have already started to drop to the ground. Landing on the shuttle, Nathan is followed by the upper body of the Grey enforcer landing next to him, still smoking with burned flesh; the eyes of the young man still open, his face frozen in surprise.

Ariana, weighed down with the surprisingly heavy Green enforcer, artfully deflects the sniper slug fired by the Blue enforcer. Most lightsaber combat styles have a component of blaster deflection, but Soresu is the master of this defence. Her training in Soresu not only allows her to deflect the slug but to aim the angle of deflection with the certainty of hours of practice. With Blue grabbing and shouldering the missile launcher immediately, the large weapon is hit by his own sniper slug. In surprise, he lets go of the now smouldering weapon and reflexively jets up into the air. As he sees the body of Grey dropping down in two pieces, Ochre retreating, and Green being dragged around through the air, he opts to flee.

So far, the Jedi appear to be triumphant. The concrete battlefield has numerous scratches and explosion marks, but the mysterious case is still next to the turret base where Nathan placed it. High up in the air, Blue and Ochre appear to be putting as much distance between them and the Jedi as possible.

The island is silent once again.

Ariana was ready to slit the throat of the green enforcer in the case that the blue enforcer had fired the rocket launcher at their ship.

Noticing that she was actually able to hit the blue enforcer with his own blaster shot Ariana was happy with the outcome. Ariana now has a smile on her face. With the other enforcers retreating she still had a unconscious green enforcer with her.

Ariana activated their private communication channel on her communication device and said to the other Jedi: "The green one is still alive, he is unconscious. I will make sure he does not wake up and secure him in our ship. Guard the package."

During the communication with the others she dragged the green enforcer into their own ship. Ariana put him down on the floor inside their ship. She quickly checked his vitals to make sure she was not doing all of this on a dead body. Afterwards she looked into her medkit and took out a long term tranquilizer that would keep this guy asleep for a day.

Ariana started with removing his helmet and injecting the tranquilizer into his neck. Directly after that she checked his wounds, stripped him of his armor where necessary to patch him up and took care of the wounds with bandages.

((Check: 16 = 8 Force Level + 6 Reason + 2 First Aid / Medicine -- Sedating the green enforcer for a day and taking care of his wounds.))

"Master, why would you ever keep an enforcer as prisoner? Would you like to start a war between the Union and the Core Hegemony. Just disable his weapons and let the guy go with is friends." Trigiel answered to Ariana over the same private channel.

At the same time, Trigiel scoured the area for the rocket launchers. There should be two there, one quite in the middle and one at the balcony. Although the padawan had no intention anymore to attack the enforcers, he would like to have the weapons at hand if the enemy decided that an air assault was a good way to say goodbye.

"No, don't. He may have intel the Union can use. We just have to ensure they think he's dead. Ma'am, I advise you tie him up just in case." Nathan interjected over the channel. There was no use throwing away a possible asset.

Nathan put his lightsaber away. Walking back to the case he looked around for anything wrong.

((OOC: The complete sequence of actions described by Ariana takes a long time to complete, so I am going to interrupt it to bring you the following breaking news:))

With Ariana's movement significantly slowed down by her dragging of the overly heavy Green enforcer and his armour, she was only halfway there when the situation changed. It happened when Trigiel had just recovered the first rocket launcher on the balcony. Nathan stood next to the curious case, in the rubble of the partly destroyed turret tower.

At the top of the ramp going from the balcony to the center of the base Trigiel and Nathan see a lone figure calmly walking down the ramp towards the two Jedi. His species was not exactly clear, he had three large black eyes, and a bald head. The man wears a patchwork cloak made of brown, gray and dark red pieces of cloth. Underneath the cloak, the two Jedi see that he wears a brown tunic tucked under a black leather bealt. The man wears a set of matching, but dirtier, brown pants coloured with splotches of mud and something that looks suspiciously like dried blood. He does not wear shoes and each foot features three thick toes.

As he nears, Nathan and Trigiel see that small pieces of string hang from his belt. At the end of each piece of string hangs a lightsaber. The twelve or so lightsabers hanging from his belt make the whole belt-and-strings thing a little reminiscent of a skirt. Unfortunately for the two Jedi, the man wore a very unhappy expression on his face.

He stopped his approach at a distance of about twenty meters and crossed his arms. Even though he remained silent, his three-eyed stare made them feel as if they were being judged.

Ariana continued with her plan to at least sedate the green enforcer to make sure he would not bite them in their ass when they were not looking.

She dropped him inside their ship, quickly checked his pulse and used the tranquillizer drug to sedate him for a day.
