Ariana checks if the balcony is secure and starts dragging the Hutt back on the balcony. She drops the Hutt in a corner where there is a little bit more cover. ((OOC: Force level 4 + strength 4))
Ariana faces the Hutt and looks straight into his eyes saying: "Stop screaming or I will gut you. "

Seeing the obvious lack of cover, Shebi Ajava reacted to this fortunate situation by calmly resting her rifle on the edge of a table. She takes aim at the wounded Gamorrean, and slowly squeezes the trigger. ((OOC: Force Level 5; Circumstance: military special ops background -- though we have no combat-stats other than combat styles, I think not being inexperienced with weapons at least takes away the penalty of using them.))

((OOC: not sure if Nebesnogo can see the bar from his position. So the move action is optional if he cannot))
Nebesnogo moved up the stairs form his position to the balcony to take up a shooting position there.

He turns his rifle back up to high no longer having to worry about shooting the hutt. He then takes careful aim at the still standing owner of the club and shoots him. ((OOC: Force Level +4 Vision +4(that how I assume shooting goes)))

As Darones looked up from cover after the explosion he saw the far side of the bar destroyed and Shebi already in a position to take advantage, where-as Nebesnogo meanwhile made rather effective use of the high ground.

Darones' side of the bar however had remained more or less intact, providing him with adequate cover in order to close the distance to far edge of the bar, a little behind where the owner would be, rather quickly ((OOC: Force Speed 1)) and safe.

He checked both the bolter pistols as he prepared to jump up and over the bar.

Between the three Jedi and the Ultramarines, fire rained down upon the Gamorreans and their Wookiee master from three sides.

Shebi Ajava aimed her rifle at the Gamorrean wounded by Ariana earlier. The pig-man pulled out the knife and charged forward in a last, desperate attempt, but it was all in vain - the Veolian's skill with a rifle was too great and with a loud -thud- the guard came crashing down onto the ground.

Darones moved into position with high speed, jumping over the bar and blasting at the remaining Gamorrean - support fire from the Ultra Marines helped him deal with the creature despite the difference in size.

((OOC: Darones didn't technically attack in his turn, so in this case I took the liberty, but you should formally make an attack or I can't produce a result for it - remember, you can move and attack in the same round!))

A soft moaning came from the Rodian knocked out by Nebesnogo stun-blasts earlier. He wouldn't be waking up for at least a day. Nebesnogo easily stepped over him and raced up to take aim at the Wookiee leading the enemy forces.

His rifle now turned up to high, he took careful aim down at the Wookiee, who was frantically exchanging fire with the Ultramarines. Nebesnogo didn't let this bother him, aiming slowly, carefully until all the cross-hairs matched up. Then, in a split decision, a bang echoed through the bar, the Wookiee collapsing behind the cover he had taken. The little padawan had made a clean hit on the slaver.

The Hutt meanwhile seemed deeply intimidated by the draconian padawan. It went silent almost immediately, Ariana still holding it's tail.

"The path is clear, follow us!" one of the Ultramarines called out as he moved to their improvised exit to the sewage drain escape route. Shebi being closest noticed another Ultramarine she hadn't seen before carrying two of the slave servants with him along the escape route.

((OOC: If you want to do anything here, do it now, I want to move us along to the next phase come Saturday before I leave.))

Shebi Ajava quickly looked over the aftermath of their short and brutal shoot-out. Seeing the Ultramarine carry out two of the slaves, she remembered the promise she made to the slave girl earlier.

Knowing time is of the essence, she tries to spot any slaves hiding or taking cover nearby, before moving over and helping them flee with the ultramarines and padawans. She silently hopes to see the slave girl; she promised to protect her. ((OOC: Force Level 5 + Vision 4))

Darones considered the opportunity to study the bar's security systems and automated turrets, but since they wouldn't have the time, he would have to miss out on that.

He took a quick look around the bar and gathered his things, while following the Ultra-marines out through their escape route into the sewage system.

Ariana quickly retrieves most of her throwing knives from her targets before she rejoins the group.

Using her force senses, Shebi Ajava searched for the girl, quickly finding her in one of the back rooms where she had hidden herself. The girl was trapped behind a crate, which had slid up against her when the gravity changed. Using the force and some muscle power, Shebi Ajava pushed the crate aside to free her, earning her a grateful kiss from the wounded slave-girl. Helping the girl limp along, Ajava made her way towards the escape route.

By the time Ariana had gathered up her throwing knives, the Ultramarines, helped by Nade and Ghany, had dragged the Hutt into the escape route, the last of them leaving with the two Jedi, who entered the escape route just as Ajava and the slave-girl arrived.

Darones had gone ahead of the other Jedi and was now making his way through the sewer system with three Ultramarines, who were also helping several slaves escape.

"What a shit hole..." one of the marines commented, earning groans from his two companions.

It didn't take long for the team to arrive at the docking area, a freighter vessel parked just one hangar away from the Winged Star in which the team had arrived. Their two contacts quickly moved to get aboard, Ghany going with the Jedi and Nade with the Ultramarines.

"Follow our ship. We will dock outside the system so you can interrogate the Hutt." the Ultramarine Shebi had spoken to earlier informed her, adming a moment later "You Jedi aren't so bad..."

Relying on the Force (and the fact that Ghany had a tracker to find Nade), the team got aboard their own ship and followed the Ultramarine vessel.

Soon they arrived at a nearby nebula, docking their vessels there so the Jedi could come on board.

The Ultramarine vessel was a fixed up freighter, revamped with weapon systems and improved hyperdrive, but it was a shoddy thing held together by welding lines that would get a Union welder fired even for civilian vessels. Half the lighting were off, likely in an effort to conserve power, giving an eery atmosphere to the ship.

The Hutt was the most nervous though, screaming in terror as if it was already being tortured - nothing besides putting him in a cell had happened yet. The team would have to figure out a strategy to interrogate the Hutt.

((OOC: Remember, the objective is to find and infiltrate the Red Troop. This Hutt knows where they are, but he might be useful in other ways too. Nade and Ghany can also help during the interrogation.))

Ariana checks her first aid kit and the supplies to see if she has any drugs that could help with calming the Hutt down and loosening his tongue. Maybe she could mix some of the drugs to make an interesting cocktail. ((OOC: Force level 4 + Reason 5 + First Aid 3))

Ariana faces the group. "I am not much of an interrogator but i can provide medical support during the interrogation."

"We have a clear objective, so let's work towards that. We need to know where they are, and we need to have an in. The best way is to convince this Hutt to either introduce us to the Red Troop, or to have him record a reference so we can approach them ourselves.

If it comes to it, we should be able to manipulate him into recording a reference; but I'd rather not start out with coercing him using the force."

Shebi Ajava looked at Ghany. "You two seem to know a bit more about this Hutt. Is there anything that might be useful to know?"

--

Later on, on the Ultramarines' ship, Ajava asks the girl she rescued whether she wants to stay with the Ultramarines or wants to go with the padawans.

Chemistry

The first aid training Ariana had did not really cover interrogation. However, she would be able to fully or partially sedate the Hutt. The latter would make him woozy, which might get him to open up, but it might also result in him slurring nonsense or fantasies - it'd be hard to tell which parts would be which.

Additionally, she should be able to make an injection which would calm him down. This wouldn't make him more cooperative, but at least it would keep him from acting out.

Slave Girl

"I am not sure if the Ultramarines are heading where I want to go..." the rescued slave girl looked worried. "I am not really sure if you are heading where I want to go either..."

She cast her gaze up at Ajava "I have family in Sector 14 -11... at least I think so. I haven't spoken to them in a few years... But you aren't here to save a slave... you need to do whatever mission you are on, don't you?" she asked softly.

Ghany

"The Hutt... he scares easily" Ghany suggested, looking ponderous a moment.

"His name is Leba. He brokers trades between people who sell stuff and people who buy stuff. He is not very good at that, but he does know a lot of people so he can bring them into contact, and because he is not very smart, he is not a threat to either party so he is an excellent middleman." she explained "He will probably want to make a deal of some sort. He likes living and not being killed by Ultramarines. Oh and money, he likes money too!"

Hutt

"Nooo!" the Hutt squeeled. "I have money! I will give you money! You let me go, I will give you more money than you can count! You will be rich! Rich!"

"That Hutt is starting to get on my nerves." one of the Ultramarines stated firmly, checking his rifle a moment as if that was a relevant part of the consideration.

Shebi Ajava walked over to the ultramarine she met in the cantina.

"You know what we want from the Hutt: access to the Red Troop. I know I promised we would hand him over after we're done with him, but we might need him alive for now -- to do some introductions. If I might know what your interest in him is, we could work out a deal?"

--

Ajava looked at the slave girl again. "14 -11 is an awful long way from here to travel alone; especially if you're not sure what you would find."

"Come with us. You can be my guest on our ship while we're doing our business. And when we are done, I'll come with you to 14 -11 to look for your family."

((OOC: Yeah, I'm setting Shebi Ajava (and possibly) others up for another adventure. I'm sure that helping the girl go home -- or at least discovering what happened there -- is worth an adventure. Whether she accepts or not is up to the story teller. Either way, I want to focus on the adventure at hand -- I can always roleplay longer talks with the slave girl in another thread.))

((OOC: Another adventure it is! We can start it as soon as this one is done. I'll make the post when the time comes!))

"That's classified information." the ultramarine stated defensively at Ajava's question, pondering the issue a moment, then deciding to take a chance and trust the Veolian woman.

"We are planning to install new leadership in the Red Troop and divert their weapon shipments to more noble causes."

Shebi got the feeling that wasn't the entire extent of it, but it wasn't entirely a lie and it was probably all she was going to get out of the commando.

Darones kept himself aside from the dealings with the interrogation, Shebi seemed to have the situation under control and so far, more people meddling would just be counterproductive.

For the moment Darones just kept the ship stable, as both their ships where docked, and they needed to keep the same relative distance and speed, not to compromise or jeopardize their safety. Since he had little experience with in flight docking, it required a fair bit of his attention.

"The plan is simple.", Shebi Ajava told the other padawan and the Ultramarine she just talked to, "We want information, our Slave Rebellion friends want to install new leadership. These goals do not conflict -- even better, any new leadership might very well be inclined to hand over the information we want.

The Hutt will soon come to see that his most profitable course of action is setting up a meet between a group of freelancing arms traders and the Red Troop. We, the jedi, will go in as the freelancing arms traders backed up by covert Ultramarines. Once we're in, we'll cooperate with the Ultramarines to install new leadership, and in the process obtain the information we seek."

Shebi Ajava walks over to the Hutt.

Shebi Ajava looked the Hutt in the eyes. "Well Leba, you're one lucky Hutt. Not only have I convinced the serious looking gentlemen that you'll be more useful alive, you might even make a profit today.

You see, me and my friends are freelance arms dealers, so I need you to introduce us to the Red Troop. If you get one of the leaders of the Red Troop to meet with us in person we'll pay you for your services. Unfortunately, if you can't arrange this, I'll have to hand you over to the Ultramarines."

"Profit? Pay me?"

In one moment, the Hutt stopped squealing and seemed to turn much more business like.

"Well, then, we might be able to make... some sort of arrangement, yes?"

He smiled slyly while the Ultramarines seemed rather taken aback with the success Shebi Ajava was having.

"I can definitely arrange a meeting." The Hutt nodded quickly upon hearing the Veolian's threat. "But it will not be cheap! I owe them money and they will not accept a meeting unless that dept is paid!"

"And then of course there is the matter of my fee..."

Arianna noticed one of the Ultramarine's moving their hand towards their weapon - apperantly they were none too pleased seeing the Hutt making demands.

"Leba, I can see you're a businessman. The problem is, those soldiers are not.", Shebi Ajava pointed to one of the Ultramarines that was clearly grabbing a weapon.

"As soon as they hear things that don't conform to their mission parameters, they get edgy. And when they get edgy, people start to die. Paying debts and fees is not part of their mission, so let's not make it too difficult."

Shebi Ajava stepped behind the Hutt, and waited for a little while to allow the Hutt time to think his position over.

Leaning over, she whispered in his ear: "I'm sure a smart businessman like you recognizes that living is more profitable than being dead. So. How much debt are we talking about?" ((OOC: Force Level 5 + Intuition 4 to recognize lies))

((OOC: Not sure about the check to recognize lies -- I don't really want to write that down every time I listen to someone. Then again, if I don't write it down, the storyteller has to check that every time. Apart from that, not sure of Intuition is the correct attribute here.))

Upon hearing Ariana, the Ultramarine stepped back. She could sense he still wanted to kill the Hutt, but for now at least he stayed his hand.

"Oh, nothing major, nothing major... Just 50 million Hutt Credits..." The Hutt explained. He looked at the Ultramarine and after considering Shebi's words added: "We can consider that to be my brokering fee, yes?"

50 million Hutt Credits was enough money to buy a small ship at current exchange rates. Still, it was not an outragious amount given the line of work the Hutt was in. The team would probably be able to get a transfer for that amount from the Jedi Order. If not, their ship was worth more than that.

"50 million Hutt Credits. That's not something one just throws around.

We might be able to come up with the credits. But, Leba, you would do very well to make sure that we meet one of the head honchos. Anything less will guarantee that you become a very unprofitable businessman."

Shebi Ajava walked towards Ariana, Nebesnogo and the nearby Ultramarine.

"Make sure the Hutt doesn't do anything funny while he arranges the meet. Me and Darones will arrange for the funds to be made available."

Ajava motioned Darones to come along, and went over to the padawans' ship to set up a secure connection to the Jedi Order.

Ariana moves close to the Hutt and keeps both eyes on him at all times. ((OOC: Force level 4 + vision 3 + stealth 1 (detecting the hiding of actions)))

Ariana takes one of her knives out of her belt and slowly moves it towards the Hutt.
"You better not try to trick us. The money will be the least of your worries. Remember that!"

After threatening him Ariana steps back and gives the Hutt some space.
